  2. Thanks guys! So 2 cups authentic brown rice flour, 2/3 cup ptoato starch, 1/3 cup tapioca flour and then how much Guar or Xanthan? Again I'm terrible in the kitchen. This is all new to me! Or King's
  3. So you're saying you mix brown rice flour by Authentic foods with tapioca and potato starch? What would the amounts be of each?
  4. First let me say I'm terrible in the kitchen but I'm trying! I have a recipe that uses butter, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, baking powder, salt, white chocolate chips and shredded coconut. I made this before I knew I should be gluten-free and it was GREAT. It calls for 2 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour. Was wondering what you guys thought would be the right gluten-free Flour. I was going to use Bob's All Purpose but read it has a pretty strong bean smell/taste? I also have to watch my oxalates so Buckwheat would be no good. I think Tapioca and Potato Starch have acceptable oxalate levels used in small amounts. I would really like to try Bob's but read so many bad things. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and taste.   5. Yes, I don't like black beans either! This one has White Beans. I'm learning alot about beans from eating Amy's soups actually. This soup is soooo tasty. My palate is not sophisticated at all so for me this is like really exotic with beans and zucchini AND it's not overly spicy but it just smells so good too. I wish I could eat gallons of it!
  6. CareOne just recalled some Alcohol Swabs due to potential bacteria exposure. Aren't they the Shop & Stop brand? Have you ever taken CareOne before?
  7. Yes it is wierd! I definitely do better overall when I include more vegetables for fiber but you know how it goes, sometimes you just can't get yourself to eat them but without them you can get backed up.
  8. Sometimes if I'm constipated (which I am alot) I can get D just from the build up. Like if I don't go for several days and then eat something fatty or greasy (even if it's gluten free) I will suddenly get bad diarrhea and everything comes out. I don't know if that's your issue but it's happened to me enough times to suspect that it's not necessarily gluten just backed up bowels. Then again I've always wondered about it
  9. I bought a can of this soup and didn't expect to like it so much but it's very tasty. It's kind of fiber-packed and a bit on the oily side so I have a feeling it might go through me for those reasons. Wondered what experiences people have had with Amy's in general. I don't think her lines are dedicated. I don't seem to remember a reaction but I think I'm one of those who are not super sensitive. Anyway, has anyone tried this soup. I really like it. It's full of good things L

    Just wanted to say I've been on Ambien for 10 years and have maintained the same 10mg dose with good results in that it helps me sleep when nothing else did. Fall asleep I should say. I also gave it up in 2006 for 2 months and then was back to my normal can't fall asleep routine but luckily didn't find the absence of it too traumatic. I'm in alot of pain with various conditions so for me it's really a good thing to have to help you be able to ignore your body and go to sleep. I'd miss it alot if I couldn't have it because it's the only time in my life I've been able to just lie down and go to sleep but I'm ok with needing it if that makes sense because for my particular case it really is a blessing. Just my thoughts. Ambien has saved my sanity sleepwise
  11. I wanted to chime in and say I'm sorry for your pain. I get severe joint/tendon issues of late and I know how scary it is to not be able to turn a faucet or press the lotion bottle thingy down or open a bottle. That being said I have fibromyalgia. I'm never sure if it's gluten or fibro but the odd thing is that since I've been trying to go gluten free in April of 2010 all my symptoms have gotten much worse. It's almost unreal to me how much I'm eating better and suffering more. I don't know if there is a reason for that like maybe it's pulling it out of my tissues. I don't know. I'm just rambling here as I limp along trying to type!! I know aspirin and celebrex (not together of course) help me feel better with the stiffness/pain but they upset my stomach. So if I take 200mg of celebrex I can be normal and open the bottles and use the lotion so I also wonder if it is gluten causing it why would celebrex help in that I don't think it's just masking the pain because the redness from the hot joint goes away too. anyway just thought you might like to know that maybe celebrex might help your discomfort if you wanted to try that path. Just an option for you
  12. I tried Lays Pepper Relish and really liked them. Didn't seem to have a reaction. I also tried Cape Cod's Five Cheese flavor but just didn't like the taste so I guess it doesn't matter if that one gave me a reaction or not (which it didn't seem to). I thought Cape Cod used to have a flavor called cheddar cheese and sour cream but they don't seem to make it anymore!
  13. I got an Enterolabs stool test that came back slightly above normal which they said meant no more gluten. I had biopsies that were negative and blood was negative but when I took gluten out of my diet my stomach improved. My triglycerides are normal now as well for the first time in 12 years. I can't believe it
  14. Oh wow thanks so much!! I don't know why I always feel like I'm treading water with this stuff. Like I should have known Toblerone was gluten-free. I guess I'll get it eventually. Today I bought Ghiardelli Vanilla Bean Squares. It said they are processed on equipment containing nuts and tree nuts so I felt it might be safe but given I don't really like the taste of Ghiardelli anyway (not sure why) I can very easily pick up some Toblerone!!! And if I'm not mistaken Toblerone is in many supermarkets. Thanks!! L
  15. Hi all I am on a low oxalate diet and can't really indulge in regular chocolate. Does anyone know a good white chocolate candy bar? I was eating M&M's until my bladder started to protest the high oxalate content. I used to eat Lindt's White Chocolate Coconut bars but I read that they may be cross contaminated! Any suggestions would be great. I think I read Ghiardelli's white baking bar is good but can you just eat that straight up? Thanks L
