In addition to my gluten allergy, I also found out after the fact that I was allergic to corn and artificial sweeteners (i.e., aspartame). It was symptoms such as you're describing that ended up pushing me to go to a "west coast medicine" type specialist whom helped me identify the other allergins. Changed my life!!
  2. I have several holiday recipes that call for crushed peppermint candies. Does anyone know if any of mainstream peppermint hard candies are gluten-free? If not, are there any known gluten-free peppermint candies? My friends and family thank you for helping me make their favorite holiday treats
  3. Hi everyone! I live in Shawnee and am also newly diagnosed (3 months) and am dying to find some other people in my same situation! I'm struggling to find places to eat out, where the best places to do grocery shopping are, hidden gluten-free gems, and people to talk with in general! Do any of you go to a support group or what is the best way you've found to manage a gluten-free lifestyle?
