  1. Dear A. You've always been one of my favorite people on here. I admire your courage, humor, and great faith. I have always pictured you enjoying your guitar shop, your kitty, and your home because you always told me how much they gave you pleasure. You've been an inspiration to me and to so many others on here during the last few years and you've helped...
  2. Didn't I tell you my hubs shared his bug with me a few weeks ago? It's inevitable...we live with them. LOL But when I made soup, at least I gave him a bowl of it too. My trip to the produce stand yielded a treasure trove of things: pluots, tomatillos, eggplant, patty pan squash, cabbage and although it is too soon to bring one home just yet: pumpkins...
  3. This is my big ole Irish husband's view, indeed. he'd eat them every night if I let him. (I don't)
  4. I like your kitty Kat, K. (and you think I don't notice). Also like your quote--good one. I you. I am thinking about you and your Mom and sending hugs. Okee dokee, this evening is shaping up to be pizza night. (what? you say! but it is not Friday night!) I know. I know. but my friend with the G F bakery sent me some nice fresh flour...
  5. That was nice of him, but honestly, I liked him as Puddy.
  6. Ruth I would be having zoodles every night. lol I love them sauteed in EVOO and garlic. but you could also make this; http://www.elanaspantry.com/paleo-chocolate-zucchini-bread/ or this: http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2011/09/zucchini-gratin.html
  7. After much thought (okay. maybe about 20 minutes while finishing my coffee which I did not spill or spit this morning, so yaay for me!) I am thinking a good way to utilize the rest of the roasted chicken (and by the way, those Vietnamese chicken salad rolls are ridiculously good, if I say so myself!) is to make Chicken Tettrazini...with a side of roasted...
  8. well, I've got that too, but there's nothing wrong with admiring the "view of other tall dark and handsomes"..... I call that a healthy appreciation for the human form. all looky, no touchy...like walking through a museum....
  9. I remember a time when you did not know how to use emoticons. Now look at you! ha.... "tall, dark and beyond handsome"....now, yer talking.....
  10. oh baby, I bought a bigass bottle of it at the Asian market...glug glug glug
  11. geesh..almost forgot. I found Talenti Chocolate Covered Sea Salt Caramel Gelato Pops at BJs. we walked a mile first, then ate one. Now, you all know Sunday night is ice cream night in our house....so... do you think it "offsets" the calories? the walking thing? c'mon lie to me. ps. looks like even Walmart's has them! http://www.walmart.com/ip...
  12. this guy or this guy? either way...I am SURE it's him (it ain't me!) lol
  13. You know....it's funny K, even though we don't have two teenage boys, but we also have partial bags of Ore ida's in the freezer. I guess my "one big boy" counts as a teenager? LOL
  14. lmao...was thinking that same thing myself... the "frisk" part should be enjoyable anyway. we may need "notes" from our doctors saying "this person is carrying G F flours" or maybe a letter from our lawyers....or a US senator...or emigration officials....or....
  15. Got so excited thinking about traveling (I have such wanderlust! ) I forgot to say what's for dinner tonight.... Vietnamese chicken salad rolls with sweet Thai chili sauce.<< I could put that stuff on dirt and eat it probably. btw, I can't believe football season has begun.....it's 88 and sunny and it still feels like summer.
  16. I always love your email updates, so I look forward to new stories. I have to renew my passport and save up some cash. Building a house has wiped me out. lol Next year is looking like a distinct possibility. I know you'd take good care of any of us if we actually showed up.... and you'll love us even more if we bring supplies.
  17. Take me! take me! I have a steamer trunk. I don't need clothes. I'll wear yours.
  18. If we weren't 1300 miles away, I'd be on your doorstep with my martini glass...right about......now..holy crappers this sounds yummers....(yeah, I can do some math and I know it's 4:17 in Cali)
  19. You know I can't do soy sauce or soy flour, but that small amount of soy lecithin does not bother me and I thought the Gratify brand was very good. Snyders's too. (J prefers those) Dinner tonight is looking like our old pal Chebe Pizza .....and a movie. Storms are rolling in....
  20. I don't know which "old timers" you are referring to, hon, but I will answer for myself. I have never said any of those things to you. I am in the camp that believes we should not make this G F life harder than it has to be and I would never suggest "you are stupid". I know some people get all crazy reading labels, calling companies, but I just read...
  21. My reply to you was based on you saying you could only find one G F salami. This post is a lot more illuminating than your initial one where it sounded as if you only had that to eat--along with a few crackers and cheese.
  22. I am stumped by this because I just traveled over 1300 miles in 2 weeks and I found food at every grocery store even in a tiny town in Southern Georgia.. I also made sure I got hotel rooms with a fridge and a micro. It's just better for us if those things are available. Or at least find one with a micro in the lobby. You have to assemble a to-go kit with...
