  1. What Is Up With Signing In?

Hi Scott, well, it doesn't look that easy. I only use security default settings, I accept Java and cookies. I use Firefox browser. My firewall doesn't blog the page. And celiac.com tells me that my usual email-box provider web.de is a spammer which it is not. Could it be that celiac.com settings are a little bit too strict. Just asking. I really have tried everything Kind regards, Tinka
  2. Mh, I live in Germany and I am also diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Celiac Disease. My doctor says it doesn't have anything to do with each other. I am not convinced! So it is interesting to read this thread.
  3. Hi, I live in Munich, Germany. Just at the beginning of August I visited Berlin. They have many of the mentioned Rossmann drugstores. At Berlin Alexanderplatz there is a huge DM drugstore and they have lots of Schar gluten free stuff. Another good idea is steakhouses like Maredo or Blockhouse. The waiters have lists what is gluten free. Try shops with organic (Bio in German) food like Vitalia, Reformhaus, Biocompany, ... They usually have gluten free stuff. Kind regards, Tinka
  4. Hi Richard, thank you. Oops, in Europe gluten MUST be listed in the ingredient list on packaged food wares. So in the U.S. I will be careful with "hidden" gluten not coming from wheat. That was an important information. Is there anywhere a list of more products made of barley like malt, ... I have to learn the vocabulary. Kind regards, Tinka
  5. Hi, I am from Germany. Here I know how to read the ingredient lists. There are some standard rules in Europe and when you know them it is easier to interpret the information from ingredient lists printed on food packaging. Now, I will do my first gluten free trip to the U.S.A. but I don't know how food labelling is done in the States. Are there any helpful links or information that you can recommend or tell me? Thanks in advance! Tinka
  6. Thank you to all being so helpful! I will read through all these links
  7. Hi, sorry but I am really experiencing frustration with this forum! I tried to register 4 times with 4 different email addresses. My email addresses were rejected as spam or the system says there is no account with this name or my password is invalid. I asked for help several times. Only once I got an answer which didn't help and no more answers. It still says I am not registered but meanwhile I am getting your newsletter 4 times to all 4 email addresses. Yesterday I tried to sign up again. It only worked when I used the sign in through facebook. I created my account and was happy. This morning I tried to sign in and was again denied. I tried it again and it only works with facebook. What is this? I thought this forum in intended for help with celiac disease. Now I feel I need more help for using your forum than anything else? I am registered in different forums but I have never experienced anything like this before Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tinka
  8. Hi, I got my final diagnosis of celiac disease 6 weeks ago I live in Germany but I had already booked my trip to the States. I am looking forward to it very much but I am a little unsure how I will get along with my new gluten free diet I won't live much in hotels. I will mostly stay with friends but they don't know celiac disease. I will stay in Montana (Dillon, Bozeman), Indiana (Bloomington, Indianapolis), Cincinatti and Chicago Has anyone hints for me where to get gluten free stuff? Maybe you know of restaurant chains, restaurants or shops of any kinds in these places that are celiac friendly? Thank you in advance Cheers, Tinka
