  1. Being gluten free changes the way you look at all food. My advice is to read all labels every time you shop as ingredients can change. People assume that being gluten free must be very bland but it is not. There are so many gluten free products out there plus good wholesome natural foods. To start with it dose seem very overwhelming but I started with the celiacs website, although I am not a celiac but a super sensitive gluten intolerant. I only discovered this website last month and I have found it to be great. I dont feel so along anymore thanks to this site. Good luck.
  2. I have been strictly gluten free for almost two years and felt better from the start.
  3. I cannot tolerate any gluten. My husband on the other hand can eat anything he likes. I make my bread and he makes his bread. We share the same bread maker. I have never had a problem. We just wash out the basin as directed by the manufacturer. I hope this helps.
  4. Ive been gluten free for nearly two years and I would never consider eating gluten no matter what it was. Nothing is worth the symptoms. Hope you feel better soon.

  6. Before I went gluten free my symptoms were: heart burn, ingestion and vomiting all at the same time.....I felt like I was going to die. These symptoms lasted until all the gluten was out of my body. (this I only realised in hindsight). This went on for four months. I actually began to think that I must have pancreatic cancer. Then my daughter was diagnosed as a celiac, and being a mother I thought I would research celiac disease. Low and behold I find myself reading about gluten intolerance and it hit me........ this is me. From that moment I went gluten free and I have never had a symptom since.

  8. Yes,I am also an Australian and I have lived in remote communities for the past five years and I still have no problems eating gluten free.

  11. Subway is the one thing I really miss. But as you say the environment would have to be really controlled for me to trust them. Even then I couldnt take the risk.
  12. Im a super sensitive gluten intolerant (what a mouth full. Red Rooster quarter chicken and chips are gluten free.
  13. Isnt it weird how the concept of cross contamination does not occur to stores and resturants?
