  1. I was tested twice for Celiac Disease, and these tests were inconclusive. Doctor's were unable to say that I had Celiac Disease. I spoke to several Doctors in the United States and they all gave me the same inconclusive answer. I was suffering from Brain Fog, and I also lost memories. I was also suffering from Fatigue, and other symptoms that told me that...
  2. I was tested twice for Celiac and told that the test results indicated that I did not have Celiac Disease. However, I did have all the symptoms. Spoke to a specialist, and he said that I should write down all of my symptoms, and give this list to another person, so I cannot see it. I was then told to go 100% Gluten Free for one month, and then write a list...
  3. I have gone gluten free for several years, and many of the symptoms are still with me, and never went away. I found that the gluten never totally left my body. Doctors told me that they had no answer. The reason that I know the gluten is still in me is that it is still. very slowly, leaving me.
  4. Restaurants buy products, labeled gluten free, and they aren't quite.
  5. I looked up the FDA regulations on a gluten free label, and they do not require that gluten be totally gone in order to be gluten free. It is a very low amount of gluten, but if you are very sensitive, it might hurt you.
  6. I am sorry. I am from Italy, where they test for this. I thought that they did this here.
  7. I will tell you this much. If a restaurant has been determined to be gluten free by passing government testing, you cannot trust it. If they are tested and found to be very low gluten, they will then be rated as gluten free. That is a serious problem that Celiacs go through. I don't have an answer for you, but if you ever find a good meal at a restaurant...
  8. My name is Chris, and I live in Fullerton, and I am always looking to exchange with other Celiacs.
  9. If you are in need of checking out work-at-home possibilities, get back to me and I can introduce you to what I am involved in, and you can decide if it is for you..Contact me on Facebook or my e-mail, which is in my profile.

  10. Try your best to stay on a career path that you want to do. If you are Celiac, you will probably have changes to you life, but you can probably maintain the same career path, but in a different way. I liked working with people, and helping people, but because of the Celiac, I didn't have the strength to leave home to continue what I wanted to do. After...
  11. I have been gluten-free for over 5 years, and my intestines are no longer damaged.
  12. All I can say is that is what happened to me. If you don't have dry eyes or dry mouth, then maybe that isn't your problem
  13. I had been gluten free for several years, and had headaches, dry eyes, and dry scalp. I found that the supplements that I was taking were not being absorbed by my body. Less than 50 % was being absorbed. The amount of the vitamins that was not being absorbed was going into my liver. When that happens, insufficient water went into my head, causing the...
  14. After it was discovered that I was Celiac and went on a gluten-free diest, I never slept more that 2-3 hours without waking up, and then I was often perspiring. I spoke to another celiac who recommended taking supplements that included Vitamins B12 and D. This helped greatly with my sleep. However then I found out that supplements were not absorbing very...
  15. I have been gluten-free for several years. However, there is one symptom which shows up if I ever accidently eat any gluten. In less that 2 minutes, I become severely bloated. If that ever happens, I immediately stop what I am eating.
  16. I have never heard of coffee doing that. I would not be able to get by without my coffee. I did find that lactose did that to me along with being Celiac, so I had to eliminate the lactose with the coffee.
  17. I have been unable to discover any gluten-free bread in the store that is"good". I found that Cuisinart has the easiest to use bread maker in existence Making bread myself was something that I thought I could never do, but I was wrong, and Amys makes very good gluten-free flour.
  18. You most likely will not have any reaction to being kissed right after a meal. However, for your own peace of mind and to play it safe, I would definitely advise brushing after a meal before kissing. If he cares about you, that shouldn't be a problem. I suppose if you know it was a gluten-free meal, then brushing isn't needed. Here is another answer:...
  19. Celiac Disease will react differently with each person. Some people can throw-Up because of gluten, and some will not. I suffer from severe bloating and constipation. Many with Celiac Disease react from Lactose, and that can make them throw-up. Celiac is an individual disease, and each person is different.
  20. That sounds alot like me. I found that vitamin supplements helped me alot, particularly Vitamins D and B12. Get tested to see if you need supplements. I took over the counter supplements, which I found were not being absorbed properly, less than 50%, and the vitamins not being absorbed were going into my liver.
  21. I know what you mean. I can relate. I have a very large family, and none of them will get tested for Celiac Disease, even though I was tested and found to have Celiac. The reason was that they did not want to discover anything else wrong with them, and their doctors did not tell them that they had Celiac Disease. My sister is having her family eat gluten...
  22. Initially, I showed symptoms of Celiac Disease, and I immediately went on a Gluten-free diet. Several doctors told me that in order to have accurate Gluten-free testing, I would have to return to eating gluten prior to the tests. This is something that I wouldn't do. I was then tested twice for Celiac and was told that I did not have Celiac Disease. A...
  23. As was said before, B12 will have no effect on celiac test results. Taking B12 and maintaining proper B12 levels is extremely important. I did not want to have B12 injections, so I decided that I would take B12 supplements. However, I found that a very small percentage of the supplements was actually being absorbed by my body. I found a company that specializes...
  24. I have not found any bread that I buy at the store which I actually would call "good". The only good bread that I have found is bread that I make myself, and Cuisanart has a bread making machine that really surprised me at how easy it is to use. I like using Amys flour to make bread with.
