  1. I have seen some of your prior posts. I am suffering from food intolerance flare ups presently and I am trying to convince my Dr to let me try Ketotifen. I wanted to know if you could send me the name and phone number of your prescribing Dr. My case is my GI Drs first one of a non celiac nature and she would like to discuss it with other Drs who are using the meds. Thanks!

  2. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  3. I havent had a cough that could be attributed to gluten but I definately think that its a possibility for you. I dont do well with processed foods and usually avoid it. Earlier this year while I was eating things I shouldnt have been eating I caught a cold which turned into a bad cough. Every day the cough would clear up...until I ate. Immediately after...
  4. Hi, I've had LOTS of muscle testing and I absolutely LOVE it. I really hadn't tried anything like this until about a year and a half ago. My Dr. sent me to this "voodoo" lady (thats what I called her at the time ) and I wasnt all that thrilled about it....but I went because my Dr. said she was good. She wasnt doing muscle testing....but...
  5. Nancy, None of these questions can be easily answered. If you do have a problem with sulfur metabolism it can be quite complex and correcting it would more than likely depend on getting to the root of the problem. I see in your signature that you have alot of other issues as well? Some of those things may be a factor....chronic infections or heavy...
  6. Thanks. My session went very well...no adverse reactions. Most definately chelation should not be taken lightly...and it should only be done by a very knowledgeable Dr. with alot of experience in heavy metal detox/chelation therapy. I've been working with my Dr.'s for over a year now. They would not begin any kind of chelation until my body...
  7. You can take binders that are not chelators...they just bind with the mobilized metals preventing them from causing more damage. The best is probably chlorella (from a good source). Its an algae very capable of binding with metals in the gut. It also has many other health benefits....some people dont tolerate it well though. I cant take chlorella or...
  8. I'm not Carla but yes....it would be a temporary worsening of symptoms. Some people refer to it as "die-off"...I think of it as a redistribution of heavy metals. Yeast and molds bind with heavy metals. If you have a problem with mercury from amalgams...you would very likely also have a problem with fungi. If you kill the yeast...the metals they were bound...
  9. Onions and garlic are very high in sulfur...same with eggs. Foods high in sulfur are natural chelators of heavy metals such as mercury. Usually people who have problems with heavy metals will experience some reactions to these foods...as they move the metals around. I had alot of problems with these foods but now that I'm under treatment I can eat...
  10. Your journey to heal has been inspiring. I admire your strength and determination. All of your experiences and the knowledge that you share has helped us all.

  11. I agree that gluten can cause damage outside of the intestines. However, I dont think a person w/out Celiac is sentenced to a life without gluten. If they can address the issues which led them to develop leaky gut and correct this.....making their intestinal environment healthy once again....I dont think the reactions would continue to occur. The more...
  12. Love your new picture! We get to see your hair down. :)

  13. If its *all* or most bottled waters....I would suspect the plastics. Yes, chemicals from plastic do leech into bottled water....especially if it sits in the sun or something like that. If its only certain brands...it could be something they add into the water. I cant handle Dasani water cuz of the addded minerals and I react to bottled water if its been...
  14. i like your giants cap in your avatar! :)

  15. I know of good doctors here in CA. Sorry dont know about Iowa. I had alot of doctors who knew nothing about Celiac....I had already done lots of research and been on this board awhile and could easily tell that these doctors were clueless. I never thought I'd find a doctor more knowledgeable than I was but by chance I did....I found a doctor who I could listen...
  16. Lister, I have the Delphi list. The hillshire farms products are all safe except the Beer Bratwurst. The Chicken Apple Sausage is produced on a line with gluten ingredients so CC is possoble with that one. I would just like to add that if you eat the sausages and get all tripped out and symptomatic it is most likely from all the MSG in the sausages.....
  17. I have this happen occassionally too. Its almost always on the tips of my fingers though. Its always when I'm not feeling well and am getting reactions from food I've eaten. The cuts dont bleed either...its just split open skin without having dry hands. When I get really dry hands my knuckles will crack a little...but the cracks on my fingertips are different...
  18. Me too. I had the same thing with body temp. being off and real bad night sweats/chills. I dont get the night sweats anymore and only rarely get chills. As far as the smell thing goes...its really weird but for a couple of years before I even got sick I started having more body odor only under my right arm....left arm was pretty much odor free but right...
  19. I got a very bad reaction after taking Primal Defense. I think it had oat grass and barly grass or something like that. I dont know if it was the grasses that got me sick or something else in it but I never tried it again and I returned it to the store it came from.
  20. Grapes (especially red) are extremely high in salicylates and amines. They are naturally occurring chemicals that some people are sensitive to. I'm sensitive to these chemicals and it feels like I've been glutened. It took me forever to figure out what the problem was.
  21. Nini, I know what you mean about people waiting for the doctor to diagnose. I did this for 2 years before I got smart and took matters into my own hands. I have improved my health by staying off gluten and instead of laying in bed all day on disability I'm now working everyday since Spetember. I only missed one day due to side effects from antibiotics...
  22. Its a clinic that I go to...they have my kind of doctors there. The kind that dont just send you home with a perscription and no answers. They really work with you to get you better. I probably sound like a commercial for BioHealth but anyways they've been the best thing to happen to me since I got sick.
  23. Thomas, Yeah...it does make me mad but I cant change it. At the time I knew nothing about gluten...if I had I'm sure the diet would have corrected my thyroid problems. I didnt know anything back then except that I was in pain and I wanted it to go away. At that time I believed that doctors knew what they were doing. I learned the hard way obviously. ...
  24. Yeah....dreamland....are you awake now? I never experienced anything like that but it sure sounds nice. I have had them agree to test me for stuff I've inquired about but I usually get some smart-ass remark that goes along with it. For example a long time ago when I started having headaches, sweating, trembling and eye problems I went to the doc...
  25. Yeah they were gone all summer when I only ate meat and veggies. My headaches dont make me feel dizzy though. No I didnt have positive blood or biopsy. My bloodwork was 2 weeks after starting the diet. It was negative so I went back to eating gluten and forgot about it but I got very sick and a couple months later I wasnt able to get out of bed and had...
