  1. Thank you Marlie, I have a little improvement but still have the stiffness and pain at night. Not sure what this is from. I think it may be dehydration, since that is a real problem in Celiacs and has always been a problem with me.
  2. Diagnosed Celiac and Gluten free for almost 2 months now and doing very well! However, I justed started having neck pain from the shoulders up and causing headaches for the first time ever!! This is daily and worse at night, is this a side effect of being Gluten free?? Anyone else have this happen?? Please help!
  3. Any Good Doctors In Tampa Fl

I live in Tampa, FL and I was just diagnosed 3 weeks ago with Celiac tested positive =Iga and had all the classic symptoms for years and my GP said it was IBS, misdiagnosed of course! After so many different things happening to me with no answers....eat=to bathroom, nausea, waking up in the middle of the night dizzy and ready to throw up, black out spells, hair loss, scalp sores, acne and of course weight gain/bloating. I finally landed on the door step of the best doctor. Not sure if Im allowed to name him so here it goes, Dr.Shemesh...mind,body,spirit. I went to him as a last resort, friend referred me... he said he will need to do a blood work up on me and take it from there, went in got he work up done, explanied all the above problems and went back 2 weeks later for review....wow I remember sitting there as he handed me a copy of my lab results and reading through each one with him and thinking OMG! I'm screwed!! I had very high levels of Dga-Iga, tTG, Celiac positive across the board and the worst one was the C-Reative Protein,Cardiac level 6.18 and low B-12 and Vit D. I was a walking mess!! He looked at me and said "your insides are on fire!" you must learn everything you can about living a Gluten free diet and a Dairy free diet or you will never get better! It was life changing. He's wonderful and he has saved my life!
  4. Thank you all so much! It's so nice to know I have other's that are looking for the same things I am when shopping. Im getting there, I just bought rice milk for the first time, I must say it's not bad at all!! I think what happens is.....after you have been off the old way, you start liking th new way just because you need something to take it's place. I like the Udi's hamburger buns. I have chicken salad on it and that was a nice treat! I love Dr. Lucy's chocolate cookies. I haven't attempted any fast food yet, have no idea what I can get and where....if anyone has a tip...please share. Thank you all
  5. Hi to all gluten-free's out there, I was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease-- +Iga after so many misdiagnosis of IBS. I'm 2 weeks knowing now and I feel soo much better!! I can't believe it! I have soo many questions...but first up, is there a good book source ( 1 book) that is like the bible of gluten-free that is good to have to flip and get the answer to anything gluten-free?? Also, I'm having a hard time knowing which seasonings are a problem, is there terms to look for like (garlic-powder) "powder" being the problem. Over all where is the best place to shop just gluten-free?? Help and thanks...
