  1. Hi am new to this forum although I have been on the site for a couple of years. I have had celiac disease for 2 and a half years. My PCP doesn't know much about this in fact if it was up to her I probably still wouldn't know. She just hasn't had the training. She is great with the regular stuff. I took my grandson to his doctor for my daughter who was teaching school. When I got there the doctor, Dr. Heckman-Davis from Lakeville, IN greeted me. I use to doctor with her before my insurance changed. Anyway she asked me how I was and I answered not so good. I told her what symptoms I was experiencing and she said it sounded like maybe a wheat allergy. Out of her head she gave me a test to give to my doctors. But even her knowledge is limited on the subject. I would love to find a great doctor who knows a lot about celiac disease. Thanks everyone.
