  1. Hi NC, I also ate Pirates Booty and had a very bad reaction (twice). My theory is that they're using cheese from a preshredded source, & that the cheese is tainted by being dusted with a modified food starch that contains gluten. In my experience, I'm not willing to have another episode so if it doesn't say "certified gluten free" it's off limits for me. Good luck!
  2. Well, first off I wanna say good job so far. As my neice just reminded me tonight, just think... It could be worse. You sound like you are doing the right things. I don't know what works for everyone else, but I use a bit of kombucha when I think I've been "tainted". If you google it you might find some useful info.
  3. Hi, I was never tested either, but as stated previously, our bodies "feedback" is proof enough! I don't know that I could go back on gluten purposely either. I feel for you though. This can be a tough place to be.I've only been gluten-free for about 8 months, but I have already had great improvements. I am in complete agreement with Shroom,& good thing you found a new doc! I'm glad this forum is here!
