  1. I just went to my specialist today for my 6mo. follow up appointment. (I was diagnosed 11mo. ago) We were talking about the symptoms that I am still experiencing & the LONG list of possible causes. He told me of a patient that was having trouble trying to figure out how she was getting 'glutened'. Ends up that when she would open the bag of dog food, she would get a face full of dust/powder. He said that dog food is loaded with gluten!
  2. Does anyone else have abdominal tenderness above the belly button? It is tender all the way across. I really notice it, for example, when I lean against the sink while washing dishes. Or, if our dog pushes against my stomach while I am laying down. There are so many different 'Celiac' symptoms.....I just don't know if this is one of them, or if its something else.
  3. Just when I thought that I was beginning to get better & getting the 'hang of things'......Now I almost feel like I'm back to 'square one'. I have been eating yogurt(fruited), because I can't stand the plain. But, I had read that probiotics are pre-dicted to be the Celiac Cure of the future. That's why I've been eating the yogurt. I don't eat or drink much other dairy at all, so maybe its the dairy. Dairy did bother me at first, but I really thought that I was over that.
  4. I was diagnosed with gluten-free in February. I had progressively been feeling better with fewer & fewer bouts of cramps, etc. Now, I am having more & more days of primarily cramps. I haven't changed anything in my diet. Because I had been feeling so much better by just changing my diet, I never changed or eliminated certain cookware or cutting boards, etc. I 'assumed' that I wasn't that sensitive. Is it possible to become 'more sensitive' after being on the diet for several months? Or, can the humidity & heat that most of us have been experiencing lately affect us also?
  5. This is the first time that I have actually posted something here. I love reading the forum, as most of my questions are usually already there. (asked by someone else) My question is......I was given a piece of licorice 2days ago & it never bothered me. I didn't know until 'after the fact' that licorice has gluten. Is it unusual that it didn't affect me, or does this happen sometimes? I was diagnosed in February, so am still relatively new at this......
