  1. Thanks for the suggestions, I hope to find and try them all.
  2. So far I have tried about 5 different snack crackers and I have yet to find one that tastes good. None of them seem to have any salt in them as they are very bland. One of my guilty pleasures was a sleeve of Ritz crackers and a 16oz. bar of SHARP cheddar cheese, OH YUM!! I tried the Glutino brand cheddar flavored crackers, I think they forgot to put the cheddar in the batter, and these too seem to lack any hint of salt. Schar makes something akin to goldfish which I tried tonight, very little cheddar flavor and again not a hint of salt. At least the first ones I tried (the shiny poker chips) had some flavor. On a bright note I found a can of Progresso Potato, Broccoli and cheese soup today and it was very good.
  3. 10" on the ground already, still coming down hard, 19* and I'm starting to get the chills down to my bones. Something tells me I am going to be sick real soon.

    So I had the follow up with the Hematologist/Oncologist today. First order of business? 6 tubes of blood. 15 minutes later I met with the doc. Blood test shows an iron deficiency, however not too severe. Doc figures a couple of intravenous treatments should take care of it, then a check every 6 months or so. On the other hand though, a low white blood cell count. So my blood goes out for more intensive screening, and I should hear something in about a week. Meanwhile tomorrow, back to the surgical center for another up close encounter with the colonoscope to try and remove the growth. UGH!!!
  7. Lirren this is what I have been going through for the past 11 years! I went to a gastro specialist regarding the excessive gas and D. He did a Colonoscopy "found nothing", and told me to stop belching and take "beano" and that should do it. Oh, he also gave me a script for Protonix for my acid reflux. Fast forward to 2013 while I'm still suffering from the same symptoms, I go back to the same practice but a different doc (previous doc had passed away). Anyhow I went back to get a precautionary colonoscopy because my mother was diagnosed last year with colorectal cancer. Not only did the scope find a "growth" but I was informed I probably have celiac (later blood test confirmed it). I have been gluten-free for the last 3 and a half weeks and the symptoms, constant gas, stomach noises and D have NOT subsided all that much.
  8. Boneless ribeye steak 1" thick med. rare, large baked potato smothered in sour cream and butter. Was absolute heaven ! !

  12. Found lasagna noodles in Giant today. Woo-Hoo ! can't wait for dinner on Monday!
  13. So we had spaghetti for dinner, gluten free of course. I was pleasantly surprised by the pasta. Bionature organic gluten free, made from rice, potato and soy. Smothered of course with my own homemade sauce. At least I won't have to suffer when it comes to spaghetti !!

    Thanks for the replies and advice. Like I said the less trial and error the better.
