  3. Hi, U may want to discuss to option of capsule endoscopy... Will scan the entire small and large intestine... And much easier than a colonoscopy... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capsule_endoscopy Best wishes
  4. Please do a gene test for celiac...a negative means negative for celiac , while a positive means one has the gene and not necessarily the disease. The gene test can be done through a cheek swab....like from this lab.... https://www.enterolab.com/default.aspx
  5. Pl. trust ur nurse practitioner more than anyone else.... After all, she is the one who diagnosed u with celiac ... Symptoms + elevated blood test is enough esp if u respond to a gluten free diet...esp since u feel bloating on reintroduction of gluten. And u are absolutely right, all children before the introduction of baby food should be checked for the celiac gene. It costs just $149...without the gene one can't have Celiac. This will happen in the future , but I don't know how far away... u need to get tested for all micronutrients and vitamins and bring them to a normal level ... Best wishes....

  12. Any Vegetarians Here?

U can try Indian foods like this, when u feel bored to cook.. http://www.amazon.com/MTR-Tomato-Ready--Ounce-Boxes/dp/B00IEKLG4C/ref=sr_1_32?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1393351547&sr=1-32&keywords=Mtr+foods Just check the labels to be sure... MTR is owned by a Norwegian company and the food in made in Bangalore, India... They may not be marked gluten free, but Indian rice dishes are naturally gluten free... No wheat is grown in the place where it is manufactured. Mtr also makes dished using wheat, so pl Cheka the labels for wheat or maida (highly refined wheat)
