  1. I too ordered from Clubs of America about a month ago and they fiiiinally got some in stock. Arrived today, I'll let you know how it tastes later tonight!
  2. Just received my 12 pack of New Grist via DHL from Clubs of America. Had it delivered to my office so that I could ensure somebody would be availaible to sign for it. I'd pop it open and try it now but I think my boss might frown on that I guess I ordered at a bad time when they were out of stock so it took over a month from the time I ordered it to the time I received it but hopefully it will be worth the wait. I've never had gluten-free beer so hopefully it will make me happy.
  3. I ordered New Grist from Clubs of America three weeks ago and they've yet to get any in Will continue to play the waiting game I guess. At leat the stuff is popular so they can probably afford to boost production in the future.
  4. If so, did you have a good experience with them, how long did it take to ship etc. My local stores don't seem to stock it so the helpful staff at Lakefront Brewery are checking around to see if there is any New Grist anywhere in South Florida. They are truly professional and helpful there! In the meantime they suggested I mailorder some from Clubs of America but I'm not sure if it's worth it yet.
  5. Chicken Kitchen

Is a chop chop from Chicken Kitchen gluten free? What about the mustard and curry sauce? Thanks in advance, I'm starving!
  6. Cool beans! Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I will not have to give up my buffalo wing obsession, otherwise I would be
  7. One week into my gluten-free diet, still a long way to go with regards to learning the ropes. Is it true that bleu cheese is not safe for a gluten free diet? Is it all bleu cheese or certain brands etc? I'm actually most concerned with the dressings/sauces that I'm obsessed with for buffalo wings etc. Thanks in advance!
  8. Thank you so much for the advice everyone! Sorry it took me ages to say thanks, been running crazy lately. I'm slowly but surely getting the hang of it although I've had a lot of upset stomachs lately, moreso than usual. Is this normal when first starting out? Also, how long until I should realistically expect to feel better? Cheerz, have a good one!
  9. Hi again guys So I've been to my GP as well as a Gastro guy here in South Florida, and they've both advised me to go on a gluten-free diet for 3 months based on blood results alone. I asked about the biopsy and the gastro said that he would do it but suggested trying the diet first. So for about a week I've been attempting to eat gluten free and I think Ive done a decent job but it seems so complicated and involved for a beginner. I haven't really had any improvement in symptoms but i didn't expect much after one week. It's made harder by the fact that I'm on the move a lot and have to eat out more often than most. I've done my best to ask restaraunt staff the pertinent questions to make sure I eat gluten-free. I've seen people talking about the Gluten Free Bible, what is that? Is there any other extensive literature I could get my hands on? Any advice and guidance is appreciated! Thanks for all your help, Craig aka celiac wandering around like a blind man in a seeing world.
  10. So, last time I posted on this board I was unsure of where to proceed with my suspicions. I've since seen my general practitioner who did blood work and said I came back for positive gliadin. She was quite non chalant about it and said that I have an intolerance to gluten and should just avoid "doughy foods." I couldn't believe how generic that response was but anyways... I asked her if I should see a GI and she said they'll just tell you the same thing. Well one look around this board and I knew this was strange advice so I spoke to a family friend who is a doctor and she said emphatically that its important for me to see a GI because a blood test is not enough. My questions: 1. Should I continue eating a gluten diet until I see the GI? 2. What is the difference between Celiac and gluten intolerance. Can gluten intolerant people handle small amounts or something? Thanks for all your help everyone.
  11. Thanks for all your input everyone!
  12. Hi, please help. I’ve been experiencing varying symptoms for the better part of the last year. At first it began with floating stools and it has increased with time to more frequent and loosely formed bowel movements. These days I go to the bathroom a few times a day and its anything but healthy. I’ve also experienced a significant drop in energy as well as a great deal of muscle fatigue. It takes very little muscle exertion to leave me feeling sore for days and I experience muscle twitches almost constantly. My muscles really feel drained all the time. I went to a doctor who did and EKG and discounted the likelihood of any neuromuscular disorders. Two months ago I was diagnosed as having Hypothyroidism and I have been taking a daily dose of Synthroid ever since. I was pretty sure that this was the problem and it would be licked in no time but my symptoms have not dissipated as I had hoped. The more I read about celiac disease, the more I identify with the symptoms. I’ve made an appointment for Dec 22 to see my doctor about it and take the necessary next steps. Was just wondering if these symptoms seem familiar to Celiac since it seems there are some very knowledgeable people here. I know that a paragraph of description is no means for diagnosis but I came across the site and figured I’d learn as much as I can before I head to the doctor in three weeks. I don't have any food allergies that I'm aware of. Any comments or further discussion would be great! Thanks a million.
