About Me

I am a 56 years old, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease when I was 18 months old in Adelaide South Australia, I got Celiac Disease from eating a yoyo biscuit, at that time no doctors in South Australia, knew about Celiac Disease, I was flown to the Royal Children's Hospital  in Melbourne, where a doctor was visiting from another country who knew that I had Celiac Disease, in those days there was no gluten free products available, apart from the Flour, my father used to make my bread, not only did I have to be on a gluten free diet I had to be on a fat free diet as well , the only milk that I could drink was goats milk, all of the meat that I could eat then, had to be boiled, I stayed on my diet until I was 17 years old but I got very ill and was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Children's Hospital, I have been on  and off my diet up till 10 years ago, I now regret ever going off my diet as I now have got COPD (chronic obstruction pulmonary disease) from Celiac Disease, now I do not eat anything unless it states that it is gluten Free, as now I have been informed that I have to be checked to see if I have Refractory Celiac Disease, which is where the gluten free diet is only partly working so I have to take a lot of pain killers and Buscopan Forte, for the pain.

  1. First of all in regards to your test were you on a gluten free diet when the test was done if so , then the test would come back normal
