  2. I finally talked to a doctor who explained that if I cheat I will kill Villi and then when they grow back is the problem. They can mutate and cause cancer. Thanks to everyone who responded. BTW - I have not cheated since : )
  3. If Cellulose is from beta-glucose which can come from wheat, then why isn't Cellulose on the unsafe food list? I follow a strict Gluten Free diet because I'm afraid of getting cancer (when the Villi grow back there is a chance of them mutatating and causeing cancer) and then there are these hidden ingriedents that make it so difficult.

  5. I had a scope and blood test. I don't mean to be rude but I just want to know how my body is being damaged if I have some gluten then remain on the diet - I look at it more like a diabetic than a smoker - The cancer of a smoker does not improve if you quit for a while. I just want to know where I can get this info on what it will do to my body?

  7. PF Changes is great however my local Chinese restaurant makes me steamed chicken and vegetables with no sauce for a fraction of the cost of PF Changes. I bring my own gluten-free soy sauce - Ask your local Chinese restaurant.
  8. Are there different levels of Celiac? I was sick as a dog last year but now that I have been on the gluten-free diet I feel great. I had pizza and beer last week and didn’t get sick at all. If I stay on the gluten-free diet for a long time can IO cheat occasionally?
  9. I started Pilates about 3 weeks ago (twice a week) I love it. It is a very good workout and still can't hang with the rest of the class but I keep going at my own pace.
  10. I have been watching everything I eat but for the pat three days I have had stomach cramps, diarrhea and severe gas. Right before I was diagnosed with Celiac I was always constipated. Anyone know what I can do for the gas and bloating?
  11. Blue Diamond Nut-Thins - says Gluten free on front but on the back it says: “Produced in a facility that also makes products containing wheat” Does this mean there is a chance for cross contamination?
  12. I'm looking for a Gluten-Free iron supplement. All that I looked at contained Malodrextrin which May contain Gluten. Does any one know of a gluten-free Irion Supplenent ? Where can I get some? Thanks
  13. This really disturbs me. Yes Mc Donalds made a mistake but when other restaurants hear about law suits, I see them not listing Gluten-Free menus because they will be afraid of Liability. I have been in talking with Applebees and they gave me the old "we do not print a Gluten-Free menu because our menu changes too frequently". I told them I would continue going to restaurants like outback that take the time to make a Gluten-Free menu. No one gets rich over these law suits except attorneys and Mc Donalds won't change a thing over it. They make Billions a year. I think we celiac sufferers can do a better job lobbying our government for more awareness and as a large group show support the resturants who do go through the trouble of making a gluten-free menu. I was in Outback the other night and I heard a lady yelling at the waitress for putting something on her salad that had Gluten in it. I was so embarrassed being a Celiac and just ordering a Gluten-Free meal. That lady acted like everyone is suppose to know what gluten is. I can see these restaurants getting sick of us if we act like that.
  14. Anyone done research on tootpaste or any whitening gum or any chewing gum?
