  1. I use Dove Shape and Definition mousse on my hair. Dove is a unilever company and they clearly label gluten.
  2. Rum is made from sugar cane, and tequila from cactus (agave, if it's genuine) Elonwy: I never thought about vodka and a wheat allergy. Crud.
  3. My IgG was elevated, but I didn't have a biopsy until 7 months later. The biopsies were normal, but I have an amazing dietary response.
  4. Tinkyada makes shells, I have some sitting in my cabinet right now. They also make big shells (for manicotti), penne, fusilli, elbows, linguine, spirals, and mini shapes... http://www.tinkyada.com/ProP1.htm
  5. That list also applies to Randall's, Von's, Dominick's, and Tom Thumb grocery stores, they're owned by Safeway.
  6. Isn't the Epstein-Barr virus the virus that causes the infectious mono? Same virus, right? That would mean if you've had mono, you have the EBV, but that also if you have had mono, you shouldn't have to deal with EBV stuff again. Phew! That's great!
  7. Canola oil is actually quite healthy for you. It's one of the healthiest cooking oils out there. Certainly better for you than garden variety vegetable oil.
  8. The ferritin tests from the lab my dr. uses (and everyone else in town) says the normal range is 10 to 220, FWIW.
  9. Pickles are almost always made with plain old white vinegar, and that's always distilled. I imagine pickles made with malt vinegar would be pretty gross
  10. This is the gluten alert Clan Thompson sent to it's subscribers on June 6th: So floridanative and I got our wires crossed about the strawberry since the carnation stuff was in the same message.
  11. I read that too, for some reason they put barley in the strawberry flavor. I don't know about you, but I've never run across a strawberry that needed barley to enhance the flavor Stupid artificial flavorings
  12. If it's authentic gyro meat, there is no way they would put soy sauce in it. I've never seen a greek recipe with soy sauce in it. Wheat in greek is "stitos" bread is "psomi" meat is "kreas" I forget how to ask questions in greek, since I haven't had the opportunity to speak it in a year, but if you say something along the lines of: "e-nay stitos...
  13. Why on Earth would they put gluten in cucumber sauce? All it should be is yogurt, cucumber, lemon juice or vinegar, and salt. Maybe some dills. Honestly, that's nuts!!! Most greek restaurants get their gyro meat from the same company in the states, and you can tell which by the posters they have around with the pretty Greek lady eating a gyro, I can...
  14. Coke and Pepsi products are all gluten-free, thankfully. It might be the sweetener in diet coke that gets you, my mom is sensitive to them and it gives her all kinds of stomach upset, and she's not even Celiac.
