  1. Does anyone know of a gluten free cooking class in the Warren/ Troy/ Bloomfield Hills Michigan areas? Thanks!
  2. I have confirmed with Abbott Labs that Tricor is NOT gluten free. It has wheat in the color coating.
  3. Does anyone know if Tricor is gluten free? I was told that it was gluten free but when I do an internet search, I find that it has gluten in the coating. Don't know which to believe. My boyfriend has Celiac Disease and takes Tricor (we were told it was safe) but he still seems to have a lot of problems, so we are in the narrowing down process of what could be causing problems and came across Tricor possibly having gluten in the coating. Any one know?
  4. What items does anyone buy from a regular grocery store that are gluten free? It is expensive to buy the labeled gluten free items, so I am wondering if we can start a list of known commercial items. Thanks!
  5. I would love to know what Lean Cuisines are okay too!
  6. I am getting conflicting information and need to know if someone can be diagnosed with dermatitis herpetiformis and have a negative result on a endoscopy biopsy for Celiac Disease. Does anyone know the answer to this question? Thanks!
  7. I am new to Celiac and am looking for any websites for manufacturers with gluten free products. I would like to look at them to see what products they have that are gluten free. I would like to be able to do some shopping at regular grocery stores and this would make it easier. Thanks!
  8. Thank you for your fast responses! You mention watching hidden gluten in products such as meds and toiletries. How do we go about finding these out? Is there someplace on the internet or elsewhere that will help figure this out or is it a one product at a time thing? Also, do you know if using certain external products can affect him, such as shampoo and lotions? Or is it just things ingested? He also has DH. Thanks!
  9. My boyfriend has just been diagnosed with Celiac disease. Up until this point he sleeps up to 20 hours a day and just can't get up. Needless to say, this affects him tremendously with work etc. Did anyone have trouble with this prior to going gluten free and did it get better once gluten free? I see a lot of posts that fatigue is worse after going gluten free. Is it going to get worse for him? I theorize that maybe he is so tired because he has not been getting the proper nutrients because of the disease but maybe I am wrong?
  10. I am new to Celiac Disease and am overwhelmed at finding out what foods can and cannot be eaten. I see posts of individual products, but is there any website or reference that has a comprehensive list of gluten free items? I am particularly interested in products at the regular grocery store rather than specialty stores. Any help would be appreciated!
