Gluten Free Food Delivery Service?

Has anybody here ever tried any food delivery services and had any luck? They claim that they're gluten free but when pressed, they're 100% everything else, but never claim to be 100% gluten free. Freshly is about the only one that made that claim but doesn't deliver to my part of the country. Bummer. Any thoughts or ideas out there?

I've started using one called Epicured (getepicured.com).  it was designed to be a low FODMAPS food service, but it's also 100% gluten-free.  The food is generally very good, though it can be pricey.  I don't know if they're nationwide yet (they're only launched in July, I think).  Those are prepared meals.  For meal prep delivery, Green Chef has a gluten-free plan, though it's a shared facility.  Food is good.  We also use Blue Apron - while there are some things i can't eat, I can often make substitutions, and they're very specific in their ingredient labeling (I've called them to discuss).  Customer service is excellent and most meals are delicious.

Cook your own food? :)

A crockpot is so easy most people should be able to do it.

I tried Epicured. All of those meals looked so good Nikki2777 but they are very regional. Bummer. I emailed a place called Freshly. The meals look good and get fairly good reviews. I just need something quick but not the Udi's frozen meals. Of course I'm not in their area either. They did however ask where I was located and when I said just outside Cincinnati, this is the answer I got:

FYI... as of Oct 2017, Green Chef is now certified Gluten Free.  (Sun Basket states on their website that cross-contamination is likely and their food is NOT recommended for those with gluten intolerance.)

I haven't tried Green Chef yet, but am due to get my first shipment in a couple of weeks.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
