I think our consciousnesses are firmly imbedded in our right brains.....caring, holistic.. . ...the left side is too busy making lists, listening to words, adding up figures....it doesn't have time to care about whether we're doin' the right thing.. .. .

Reports of snaough make this snaoughbirder nervous  Time to groom the wing feathers, check the oil, fatten up a bit, and then follow the godwits (hope they left some breadcrumbs).

We had some snow - only problem is it was up the top of Heavenly, and the ski lifts aren't running yet, so it has to be admired from afar.

It won't be long and the snow will be here to stay! Mt. Katahdin is already snow covered, it's quite beautiful with the leaves changing and the mountain in the background. Ice skating opened today, it's beginning to look a lot like......

Now I have my conscience and my consciousness all mixed up.

My dyslexia is having a feeled day. I wonder if we could get this problem added to the U of Chicago list of 300 symptoms.

Do you think this is likely to be a long term issue?

    • i usually buy pre made falafels as the majority i've found are gluten free and vegan. they are really good on a wrap with hummus, lettuce, tomato/salads or even the same on a sandwich. i also eat them with a salad or as a side with a curry. the only recipe i've made from scratch is from http://www.hotforfoodblog.com/recipes/2015/05/04/baked-falafel-sliders-with-maple-tahini-sauce also their cheese sauce is really great, i make it with sweet potato and almond milk, its so easy and you can swap or leave out a few ingredients and it tastes just a good. i eat cheese but i still make that to have with tacos or nachos as well.
    • Hello thanks for answering , yes they did a biopsy , received the results and can't understand a thing in medical terms . Is the waiting that is irritating me . 😒  There was written among other things that the villus architecture is well preserved is this only sentence that confuses me . I will ask of course my doctor just wondered if any of you knows what it means . As for celiac blood work panel I will ask . I Know that they did some blood tests which I had to wait two weeks as here some blood tests they have to make them outside our island .
    • Hi  I live in the US. we use Corn flour and amaranth flour to make roti. There is any other flour to make roti. bcoz amaranth is a little expensive for us. and being punjabi we eat roti a lot and parantha too. so if anyone knows in US. from where we can get flour to make roti on cheap price. or any other website from where we could get all flour on good price.
    • Well, I would strongly recommend seeing a doctor (maybe an endo if your PCP is not thyroid savvy, but I have always used my PCP).   Are you sure you had the hypo-related thyroid antibodies tests (3 of them)?     It looks like you are hypothyroid.  You probably need thyroid replacement, but I am not a doctor!    Thyroid replacement will help you feel better.  My TSH is best at around a 1.  Anything over a 5 and I am wearing flannel PJ's and napping.  Ask for a physical examination for your thyroid to check for nodules and enlargement too.  You can be hypo, but not have Hashi's.  Get that endo appointment, if you can.
    • On a gluten-free diet, my low iron resolved within months with supplementation.    I would ask your doctor to re-check your ferritin levels and antibodies at the three month mark since you can not judge by symptoms.  I would also ask for a bone scan.  I fractured two vertebrae doing NOTHING two months into my celiac disease diagnosis.  Found out I had osteoporosis.   I would think that if you were dairy intolerant, you would experience all the classic symptoms of gas, bloating, etc.  If you are not, I would not worry about dairy.  Not all celiacs are dairy intolerant.   Go eat some cheese!   Follow-up testing recommendations: http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/faq/how-often-should-follow-up-testing-occur/
