A bunch of our friends are having a get together at Village Inn tonight....they didn't give me much notice. I can't find anything on there website stating about ne thing being gluten-free. Has anyone eatin there? If so what was your experience? Thanks.

I have been there but it was prior to dx. It is like a Denny's or IHOP so I would be careful. Maybe sticking with eggs and bacon? Sorry I could not be of more help. Let us know about your experience!

The Village Inn allergen menu lists nearly everything as containing wheat.  I went to a local Village Inn recently with a group, and the manager was positively hostile to my inquiry about gluten-free options, so I don't go there any more.

Denny's is much, MUCH better, with many items listed as gluten-free on the menu.  We've been to many Denny's in the western US and their management has always been friendly and accommodating.

      Have this rash forming on the back of my legs. Looking for relief outside of going to the doctor.

      Still dealing with this rash on my legs. I've eliminated ringworm (through use of topical ointments). And I also know it's not shingles, as I've never had chickenpox before and I'm still fairly young.       I started another couple of jars today

      Day 2, the day after incubation, I found 1 inactive larvae after sampling both jars. By sampling I mean inspecting about 15 mls of water extracted from each jar. Day 3, nothing.       You have three celiac disease specific antibody tests that are positive: Endomysial Antibody IGA (aka, EMA), tTG-IGA, and tTG_IGG. Furthermore, your Immunoglobulin A at 55 is low, meaning you are IGA deficient. This one is not an antibody test for celaic disease per se but a measure of "total IGA" levels and if low (yours is low) it can suppress the individual antibody scores and even cause false negatives. So, yes, it definitely looks like you have celiac disease.   Do not yet begin a gluten free diet as your physician may refer you to a GI doc for an endoscopy/biopsy of the small bowel lining for confirmation of the antibody testing. This may help:

      Mine is definitely triggered by inflammation and stress! I do also have arthritis in my spine, but the pain is more in my pelvic area. Im sure i have other food intolerances or other autoimmune isues but the more I focus on it and see doctor after doctor, it just gets worse.  Best thing is get of Gluten! (I also avoid lactose). Try to limit stress and anything that causes inflammation in your body.
