Hello!

I have found a wheat-free dog treat that my dog loves and it is healthy too! This bar is called NutraBeams. It is made with Flaxseed, dried carrots and glucosamine with chondroitin sulfate. I found this bar at Petco. It was $2.49.

BTW, has anyone found WF recipes for dog treats?????

Please let me know if anyone finds the superfood supplement The Missing Link for less than 15.99 for a 1 lb. bag. Many catalogs carry this product but once the shipping and handling is added the price goes way up.

Thanks and Enjoy!

Hey,

My 2 year old keeps eating dog food and treats. Let me know If there is a gluten free dog food.

Although her hair is nice and shiney she does have celiac disease, so the dog can go gluten free too.

Laura

    • I agree with cyclinglady.   My daughter has had elevated ttg number for 3+ years now.   We are also a gluten free family.   My household went gluten free as soon as she was diagnosed.  My daughter's ttg has came down dramatically over the years, but we never quite hit the below range (We came SUPER close with one of our tests).   Our doctor is not concerned.   She even thinks that her ttg is perhaps falsely elevated.   My daughter is doing well, she is growing.   Taller than me now.  So, I give up worrying about that ttg number a while back.   (I was rather obsessed about it for a while myself.   We worked so hard on this diet, and deserve an excellent grade for it!!)
    • Myalgia is not  a diagnosis.  It is just a fancy word for sore muscles..
    • Hi to whomever reads this. I have had coeliac disease since 2003. Lately I have been very sore and have trouble breathing. My dr has just diagnosed me with a type of myalgia. Has anyone who has coeliacs been diagnosed with myalgia.  It is extremely sore around my shoulders down my arms. He has put me on prednisone for 2 weeks to see how that goes. Would be interested in anyone else’s comments. Many thanks.
    • My 14 year-old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 10.   3 months later she was also diagnosed with celiac.   Her ttg was sky high (it seems your son's ttg is also sky high).   Our endo offered to formally diagnosed my daughter with celiac without an endoscopy, because she has never seen anyone with that high of a ttg number to not be celiac.   But we did not want to believe that my daughter was celiac too, and we scheduled an endoscopy.  She was formally diagnosed with celiac 2 weeks after the endoscopy. Type 1 and celiac are both auto-immune disease.   I was told that about 10% of type 1s have celiac, and that is why they have this standard procedure to screen for celiac in type 1s.   I think you should schedule an endoscopy as soon as possible before going to a gluten free diet.   I think it is better to be certain, rather than always be second guessing about this in the years to come.
    • .  Ingredients & information  from 10 years ago may have changed.  IN the US and Canada, modified food starch is almost never  made from wheat.  the laws of both countries require that, if it is made from wheat, that it be specified.  I have seen it , maybe two or three times.  It was labeled either modified wheat starch or modified starch ( wheat).       i just went to their web site site and The ingredients are "Yellow Corn Flour, Salt, Maltodextrin, Paprika, Spices, Modified Corn Starch, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Citric Acid, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Caramel Color (sulfites)."   it states CORN starch
