ok so i got told i had celiac disease a year ago about. was trying to be fully gluten free since july/aug range but was accidently glutening my self with some ingredients (corn flake crumbs i had use malt in them and i was eating some steak sauce with malt vinegar in it that i didnt realize) so ive been gluten free to the best of my abilities for over a month now i think.

any way its always seemed for me that even with 9 hours of sleep waking up early (for me at least), pretty much before about 9 ish i seem really tired all day, yet i can sleep 6 hours and get up at 10 and not be tired. maybe its more so what im getting up for (i have classes but they are studio classes so i am physically working most of the time in them).

also my stomach bothers me more when i wake up early not sure whats up with it, if its really related or what ever

any one else have similar issues?

My sleep patterns where all messed up until I started taking B12. I use the sublingual methylcobalamin type. Things slowly got better month after month. I have much more energy too, but the main thing is that the supplements (not just B12) have resolved the severe nerve/muscle pains, twitching, numbness, etc.

B12 is vital for many things, including serotonin and melatonin production. And since there is no known level of overdose for B12, it can't hurt to try it! Just make sure to read the label!

thanks, i havent been taking my multi vitamin since i was taking one a day and while there wasnt gluten items in it they say they cannot guarantee what it gets in contact with and all, my parents picked up some multi vitamins for me from our applied kinesiologist so i will get them hopefully today if i can make it back home (the company that makes them guarantee all their stuff is gluten-free and our AK said this formula is the one i should take as apposed to the one my rents take (has some different iron and iodine levels))

so i got my multi vitamin and only have been taking them for 5-6 days and wow i feel much better. it says to take 6 a day but our alternative medicine guy told us to take 4/day. but the daily value of 6/day in the b12 category is 7500%. i already have been sleeping better and waking up more easily and the stomach issues i was having the last few weeks have calmed down (knock on wood). its made by Thorne Research (i take the basic nutrients II, my parents take a different one that has slightly different things in the metals and iodine levels) and when i called them the lady i talked to said everything they make is gluten-free. honestly dont know the cost of them but i got a bottle of 180 so it will last 45 days.

score one for the supplements

So, I contacted Scott Adams, the author of that article and also the creator/admin of this website, and pointed out to him the need to clarify the information in the paragraph in question. He has now updated the paragraph and it is clear that the DGP-IGA does serve the purpose of circumventing the false negatives that IGA deficiencies can generate in the tTG-IGA antibody test.

Has anyone experimenced enlarged lymph nodes with celiac? Both in the neck and groin area. Imaging of both areas have said that lymph nodes are reactive in nature. However, they have been present for months and just wondering how long this may take to go down. Been gluten-free for about two months. Blood counts are normal.

Hmm interesting I just assumed that any “IGA” tests including the DPG iga would be negative in a person who is IGA deficient but maybe that is not the case for the DPG test.

If you were just diagnosed I can say that if you go 100% gluten-free should should see dramatic improvement of your symptoms over the next few months, but the hard part is to stay gluten-free. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
