Same thing exactly as my August 19 post:

Baguette with olive oil from Croatia, fleur de sel, prosciutto, fresh sheep cheese, fresh figs, chestnut honey from Croatia and toasted walnuts. Absolutely amazing. Everyone must try this at least once! :)

Vichyssoise Soup because it is chilly and raining. Love this weather! :)

I love the rain! It's the only thing about PA (other than my family) that I miss. You could share.

I've been eating leftovers for lunch every day. I feed my 1 1/2 year old cousin I babysit for 4 days a week and I usually pop a can of vegetables (he'll eat about 2/3 in a sitting  ) and we split whatever leftover meat I have from the previous night. Pork tenderloin, pot roast, pork chops, steak, ham. We've been having a pretty good time of it. Lunch time is so much more pleasant now that I told his mom that I want him gluten free while he's in the house here. It was just far too complicated trying to feed him whatever gluten she brought him and try to get my own lunch and keep myself uncontaminated. I enjoy his gluten free company a whole lot more too. It's a blast being able to share a bowl of gelato with the little guy for an afternoon treat!

A greek yogurt, and some thai coconut taro crispy things. They're great! They taste like they should be made out of wheat, but it's just coconut and taro flour with sesame and a few other things. Totally recommend them!

Fancy schmancy duck breast salad - wilted greens with seared duck breast using some of its fat to create a red wine vinaigrette to which toasted pine nuts that have been crushed to the vinaigrette; rounds of goat cheese coated in dry crumbs and quickly seared. Not only that but plum chutney to go with all. Incredible.

What do you put eggs benedict on top of? Veggie hash, or a purchased or homemade english muffin?

It varies. Yesterday was a toasted purchased bagel (homemade are so much better!). So, it was the toasted bagel topped with tomato from my garden, ham, poached egg and hollandaise. One of my favourite lunches. I had the one purchased bagel languishing in the freezer (though bagels make far better croutons than purchased bread).

I tried out the Rootbeer Pulled Pork recipe I found on this topic - it was great! Threw a pork shoulder into a crockpot at 9 p.m. with a can of rootbeer and when I woke up it was ready to go. I shredded it and put on some Gluten Free BBQ sauce, dill pickels, and packed 2 pieces of Rudi's white bread. This is my new go to when I don't have time to cook. Also threw a Pea Steamer into the microwave for a side dish.

(Salvaged) Bread crusts with cream cheese and chocolate nut spread, followed by a salad, so the calories sort of cancel out. I've gone about 3 weeks now having a vegetable smoothie for breakfast, and this was in protest that I am not really a rabbit. I would have had the bread for breakfast, but it wouldn't finish cooking!

    • Hi Matt. Nice to meet someone from the U.K Thank you for your encouraging reply :). Yeah, I'm sure we all make mistakes at the start. I have however changed all my cutlery, plates, chopping boards and binned my toaster as I can't eat gluten-free bread due to the egg intolerance. I do think my house is completely gluten free. I do wish I could eat more. I can't do rice/grains or potatoes either. The only thing my stomach seems content with is chicken and veggies. Thanks for listening.   R
    • Wow, I was on the EXACT same stuff, it is basically medical speed, amphetamine. Yeah it will motivate you but it is addictive and withdrawal is a real nightmare with it. I use EXTRA b-vitamins and give myself a extra kick with a red eye coffee sometimes now days to avoid those pills. And I do not want to go through that withdrawal again. I would honestly suggest a 5-hour no sugar energy shot and some cocoa nibs and hemp seed snack mix over those pills anyway. Sorta what gets me by now days.  THIS is going to sound really really odd, but I makes this great sprinkle for depression and energy made with ground cocoa nibs form ciro bru, hemp protein powder, and a sweetener like pyure, or xylitol and just sprinkle it over or in stuff. The blend of hemp and cocoa really helps my mood in combination with the Stress & Energy mix. I think the magnesium I take daily also contributes. I honestly can not get mad, sad, or depressed no matter what for the past 3 weeks.....like the most messed up stuff has happened and I just go "Oh well it will work out" ....and I mean some really bad stuff has happened this month lol.
    • So I have one pesky symptom that in the last few years has cropped up and never gone away. Lack of motivation to do some very basic things. So basic it's embarrassing to talk about. I barely manage to do a lot of adult tasks these days. It's a real stretch. It's like something is blocking me. Anyways, so I'm talking to my psych and she suggests adderal for it as we've tried lots of different avenues for this issue and none have helped. My bipolar is totally under control, for an entire year so far. My anxiety is ok with a script. It'll be even better once I get one major thing that I won't get into here taken care of. But I'm not the super motivated, extremely hard working person I used to be. It really changed basically when I got sick about 9 years ago. So, does anyone else take adderal? I've got the pills next to me but worried to take them. Not sure why. Any help, advice, reassurance is welcome.
    • Yeah I need someone to attend with me, I had someone else but they canceled on me. The hotel room is booked from the 16th-20th of August. I can pick up from the airport, greyhound, or train station and drop off if need be, room is booked from the 16th technically a day before the convention so you have time for sightseeing. Room is a double queen and you get your own bed. It is a anime convention with many Japanese guest this year, I will provide snacks, meals, etc with the room fee and I will accept paypal, credit card, or cash. Meals will be made decided on after talking with whoever is rooming with a diet build around what you can eat. The room will be gluten, corn, dairy, and peanut free. I do bring a chef kit with me including griddle, steamer, rice cooker, etc.
    • No anti-sm(lupus)? Yes, anti dsDNA is for SLE(lupus). No ENA panel,anti-RNP, anti-SS-A, anti-SS-B, anti histone, scl-70, etc? I'd ask for a referral, if you feel that there is something going on. I think that would be a logical step because of the positive ANA and lack of investigation. 1:640 is definitely positive.
