My son who,is thirteen, has celiac disease and was diagnosed at two years old. I would like to join a support group but there is none in my area. Also, I would like for my son to meet some teens that have celiac. Does anyone know if there is a group around Marlton,Medford or Mt. Holly, NJ? Please let me know.

Lorraine, Did you ask the CSA where, if any, are the CSA sponsored support groups in your area? It should be on their website.

There is a group that meets monthly (except July & August) at

Virtua/West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees.

We are the CSA Southern New Jersey Chapter #9.

Here is our website link (I hope it goes thru):

http://home.earthlink.net/~celiac9/index.html

Our Nov. 6th meeting will be our Thanksgiving coverdish.

My contact information is on the website also.

Dr. Verma also has a children's group that meets the second

Sunday of each month. I believe they alternate between

the Voorhees hospital and Children's Hospital in Phila.

She will be sending me information about her next meeting which

I'll post to this site.
