Malabsorption And Excessive Bowel Movements

Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering how long it takes for the excessive bowel movements to stop. I don't have D anymore but I just keep going and going and going (like the energizer bunny :)

Also while I have this, my lower gut is tender and sore...a little bruised feeling.

It took me months to slow it down. And I would feel tender sometimes.

Sorry....wish I could have said something more encouraging.

For some reason I'm remembering 11 days. I'm not sure that is correct but it was a many days.

Mine didn't slow down until I started taking a scoop of Metagenics UltraClear Sustain in my smoothie every day. It took about two weeks to clear up the frequent bowel movements--I've been "normal" ever since. I can highly recommend this product.

Thanks everyone! I don't have a hot water bottle but I do have a heating pad and it really does help the pain. My pain has moved from the lower left to the lower right so hopefully it's on the mend!

I am noticing that I am getting some of my stamina back. :)

Now if I could just stay out of the bathroom! :)

At least that means you can run to the bathroom now :)

( I know some days that's not funny. I take a pillow too and sleep on the floor then :o )
