  1. Okay, I haven't actually counted calories, but today I ate less than I used to. I know my smoothies are about 250 calories, and I have two of them. The latte is another 240 calories, so that's 740 calories.

Plus, I had two eggs, two pieces of toast (with lots of butter), hash browns, and three slices of bacon for brunch (650 cal.) .... a Big Mac (540 cal.) and fries (380 cal.) for dinner.

I am pretty sure that's a lot of calories for someone who only weighs 125 pounds .... but it's MUCH closer to normal that I've eaten in a LONG time! LOL Just the fact that I have not been hungry after a meal is improvement.

Edit, Okay, so I have nothing better to do and looked up the calories .... so that's 2300 if I added correctly. :)

HAHAHA... (sort of jealous).... Ok I most definitely CANNOT eat that amount of food without gaining wait. I absorb my food and eat the amount of a "normal" person... I don't think I have a worm....

  2. Ami, I'm sorry I hope things get better

    Morgan,

Hello! I have never "met" you, but I have talked to your mom on the phone...she is really sweet! She talked about you and your homeschool experience, it's a long story but I have started online school because of medical stuff (possible Lyme) and I was influenced largely by your moms ideas. :)

Well it's nice to sort of "meet" you now. :) Mom's really good at helping and advice

Hi Morgan....good to "see" you. :)

    Love the new pic.

Sarah...yeah all of Carla's girl's look like Carla.

haha... thanks... and nice to "see" you too

    HI MO!!!

  I can't deny her, can I?

    Keep telling her this ....

It's a huge philanthropy at IU every year .... I was at a spa getting massages and stuff and taunting her with text messages about it. ;):D

    Hi Mommy!

I finally got a ton of sleep... a four hour nap yesterday along with a good night's sleep... I think I'm finally caught up now.

yeah <_< telling me about her massage was just plain cruel... she can be awesome and give advice but she is also capable of torture... brat

Hi Morgan, nice to see you again!

    HI!

I MISSED MORGAN!!!! Looking at the time she was on I was definitely asleep

Hi Morgan :) So glad you stopped by, good luck with all your papers and tests and everything!

Hi Julie! Sorry we missed each other... you don't want to be up at that time of the night though lol

Hi Morgan, nice to see you. :) For reading pleasure I recommend "Lady of the Lake" by Marion Zimmer Bradley, actually she has a whole series around the Arthurian legend that is fabulous.

    I haven't read that... thanks :)

    Whoa, well hello Morgan!

That "long time" of yours has to be since at least the end of May, when I joined this thread.

    Nice to "meet" you. :)

Tho not a Sci-Fi fan in general, I've greatly enjoyed some Heinlein. Good stuff!

yeah... my long time was definitely before that....Nice to "meet" you now though!

My son is on Humaworm, too .... he had a tapeworm, too. We're buying some for the rest of the family!!! I am still thoroughly disgusted by this ...... saw more tonight.

    YUCK :huh::mellow::ph34r::o !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. That class sounds fun! I bet the paper will be great. Good luck!

The class is pretty fun... it's just easy to get behind on the readings. And yeah the paper's not that bad... I thought it was going to be absolutely terrible, but I finally did my research and made an outline last night, so it's going really smoothly tonight. And it's pretty interesting. Plus I found out that I have two less pages to write! That makes it good too lol. Thank you!

  4. I don't think I could have done that even at your age! Maybe 24 but not 36.

Glad the fundraiser was so successful though.

Are you still gluten free or mostly so?

I had never pulled an all nighter before that so I was really nervous... but it started at night so I was actually up for longer than 36 hours.... I was actually up for 47 hours. I crashed sunday at 8:30 am and slept for 21 hours....

I'm not gluten free any more... Now that I live in a sorority I have no control over my meals, so I started eating it again... sometimes I avoid it, but it's practically impossible to do that all the time.

  5. Actually that sounds right up my alley! Of course I was an English major, and adore science fiction.

Make sure you mention the works of Marion Zimmer Bradley, Andre Norton, and Anne McCaffrey. Nobody contributed more in the way of female characters in sci-fi than MZB.

On the opposite end, of course, there's Robert Heinlein's female characters- while very different than their female-created counterparts, it's simplistic to think of them as weak. Would make a great contrast-comparison.

Before I get yelled at for being off-topic... What class is this for, out of curiosity?

Thanks! Yeah, I definitely found Heinlein... but I hadn't found the others. I've been concentrating on why and how authors portray women as weak and rarely make them the fantastic heroes of the story. This is for a Science Fiction, Fantasy and Western Tradition class

  6. Is sleep in the equation anywhere? Sleep is a very important ingredient to good grades.

Economics.......don't remember how I did in that.......not my most favorite subject.

To be honest... no, not really... well, some. Tonight is a late night. I'm only going to get enough to get by and not fall asleep during my test. There are several girls in the house who have been pulling all nighters this week... I don't know how they do it, especially after this weekend when we all stayed up and standing for 36 hours for dance marathon. (This is a huge philanthropy which raised over a million dollars for Riley Hospital.) I have to get some sleep, so don't worry too much. I just won't get a lot.

And economics is just not a memorable subject. I have to take for my journalism major, but I don't know when I'll use it....

  7. Dear Morgan,

It is so nice to meet you! I am glad you had a great birthday. That purse is awesome! You should have fun with that! We all look forward to seeing you more on the thread!

Nice to meet you too :)

And heals...I love them  That was one of the things I missed when I got to college... I couldn't wear heals as often as I could when I was at home :( Unless I was willing to walk across campus in them. haha

Last week I bought a new pair of heals. When I tried them on, the first thing I thought of them was that they were sort of short. They were probably 3 inches maybe 3 1/2. But I showed them to the girls next door, they thought they were so high. lol I tested them next to my normal heals and had to insist that for me they were short.

  8. Yea, Morgan, you'd have thought I was you!! ;) Dad was sitting in the parking lot and I called him on his cell phone to come in and deal with it because I couldn't handle the situation.

hey.....I can't help it that i get emotional sometimes...I also can't help it that you are most often the one that sees me like that.

Yeah I'll send you that photo.

  9. Jestgar.... I LOVE the avatar

Carla, I thought you look like you are in your late teens. Can I have some of that LOL.

I am an Aries married to a Leo.

Morgan, love your baseball cap. I own many and yours is neat.

jestgar, your avatar is funnier then c**p. Laughing my head off. Now my ostrich has a child.

I'm the other one in the red hoodie :lol::lol: that's not my baseball cap
