Personally, I won't do it. It's useless since this virus keeps modify itself unlike the virus that causes polio, for example. Media and doctors in general are just giving wrong pieces of info about this issue and I don't understand why. All this situation is just creepy.

Moreover, I discovered that Pfizer was fined a lot of times and it was also at the center of a severe scandal concerning the children of an African region. Here are the articles I found :

Thank you for the clarification, and we've covered some of the research on corn, but feel free to post any research links on corn protein. Here is a summary we did way back in 2005, and if you look at the addition at the bottom the corn used in the study tested at 82ppm, and was contaminated with wheat gluten:

We're aware that some celiacs have additional intolerances, such as corn, dairy, eggs, soy, etc., but these are generally considered separate from celiac disease, and are sometimes temporary intolerances caused by gut damage from celiac disease. In my case I could not have cow's milk, corn or tomatoes for ~2-3 years after going gluten-free, so they were temporary.

Here is another older article on this idea:

    Dear Scott,

Thank you for your kindness and availability :). Whether I find some interesting and new discoveries concerning both celiac disease and gluten sensitivity, I will immediately share them with you and within this section of your forum;)

Sure, you got all this great info about this future author who hasn't published their book yet from "a researcher at John Hopkins University," but could not remember the author's name, but you do know that they deleted their articles to make "corrections," and you even have the new link to their re-published article? Ok...

So you haven't mentioned what is so great about their ideas. I read the article you linked to and see no breakthroughs there, and do seem some potential info that could cause celiacs to be scared to eat rice, quinoa and maize, while the vast majority can eat these grains without any issues.

You haven't mentioned why you're even interested in this author, or why you're here. Do you have celiac disease?

    Dear Scott,

Yes, I suffer from celiac disease, plus I suffer from lactose intolerance. If you read the latest studies about celiac disease on PubMed, Jama and on New England Medicine Journal, 10 years ago scientists already said reactions to corn (maize) proteins are similar to those to gluten for celiac people. Therefore, there isn't nothing new in this article and I'm just waiting for the book. I just thought I could give you some interesting pieces of info, because I'm aware of the fact that many subscribers here, on this platform, don't know such research that you can simply find typing the most important medical journals on the Internet. If you desire, I can send you as many links as you want about this topic. Moreover, why don't you ask yourself why so many celiacs keep suffering although being on a gluten free diet ? Do you think it's always something concerning some contamination ? Personally, I don't think so since it happened to me too and to other people that are on a gluten free diet.

As regards the name of the author, I cited its surname some months ago and I was lucky to find something about him, i.e. this article, even if I thought the book was already published, while it wasn't ready. This is the reason why I couldn't find it and I ask you advice.

As concerns this friend of mine who I asked for some pieces of info to, I asked him just after getting to know the correct name and surname of the researcher. I couldn't disturb him earlier because I didn't know his entire name yet.

When the book will be launched, I will surely buy it and if you want, if I find something interesting, I'll just let you know.

Is this an article or author biography, to me it seems like the latter, and doesn’t explain very much about their approach, other than this bit which I believe is misinformation:

“few medical specialists are in fact aware of the actual inflammatory reactions which are caused by prolamins present even within cereals celiac patients are allowed to eat, such as rice, quinoa and maize, particularly involving monogastric living beings.”

I think this thread is starting to look like attempted link spam to me...

    Dear Scott,

I got some pieces of info about the things reported in this article by a friend of mine, a researcher at John Hopkins University. He told me that this independent scientist is one of the best researcher he ever met and Talbot's appreciated worldwide. In fact, my friend is also waiting for the launch of his book; plus, he told me it will independentely publish between March and April and it won't be politicized, so to avoid censorship by international companies. Moreover, other colleagues of this dear friend of mine are waiting too, so I can assure you this link's not a spam ;) . Thank you for your previous reply and opinion.

Also, I did not get a chance to read it but since it was deleted by the author I’d be very suspect of this “new” way to explain and/or cure food intolerance.

    Dear Scott,

I noticed too that the author has re-published the article since she made certain corrections. I send you again the updated link. Please, let me know if it works well and what do you think of the article. Thank you in advance :)

    Dear Scott,

After a long time I just managed to find an article about this eminent researcher. However, I didn't find the book yet :( I keep searching for this book, in the meanwhile I'm going to get in contact with the blogger who wrote such an article :)

    Dear Scott,

I picked the first link I found since there are others on other magazines. Since you are far more expert than me, could you give me an opinion about this article ? What do you think ? Because I personally think this researcher is truly eminent.Thank you very much in advance ;)

I don't know of the book. But there are plenty of hucksters out there looking to make money off desperate people.  Promising amazing cures that other people don't know about is a typical deception they use.

    Dear GFinDC,

Thank you for warning me, but don't you worry, I'm perfectly aware that it's truly simple for not so prepared people and medical specialists to influence suffering and fragile people. For the moment, I just found an article about this researcher, but I don't have any piece of info concerning the book yet :(. I warmly suggest you to read the article since I found it truly interesting and since it even indicates studies that are unknown to the majority of scientists and doctors. Please, let me know what you think. In the meanwhile, I keep searching for the book and for the blogger who wrote such an article.

I send you the link of the article on Quora.com, since there are others linked to other websites. Please, let me know what you think. Thank you in advance :)

    Hey everyone!

I'm feeling pretty down and frustrated right now, and thought I would finally take the plunge to join this site and see if I could get some advice and thoughts. Basically I've been struggling with a lot of symptoms for around 3 or so years now, and not all of them are digestive issues.. My main issues I'll list below.

    - Almost constant stomach gurgling/rumbling in stomach, intestines and even what feels sometimes near to my anus

    - Nausea (though I never vomit)

    - Constant belching, especially after eating most foods, and then weird smelling gas.

    - Foul/weird smelling stools (Sorry, but I'm sure most here have been there!)

    - Constipated a lot and then sudden diarrhea now and again.

    - Having to go on the loo 3 times a day often.

    - Feeling tired/fatigued all the time + random brain fog daily

    - Daily muscle fasciculations all over my body (Perhaps suggest malabsorption or vitamin deficiency?)

The only test I've had done over the last few years is a Barium swallow, which didn't show nothing abnormal. I was supposed to go for an endoscopy earlier this year but then Covid happened. Do the symptoms sounds like it could be a sensitivity or allergy to gluten? Really appreciate any feedback and hope to hear from some of you soon.

    Tyler

    Dear Tyler,

The best solution, as you said, would be to have an endoscopy done, it's really important : you could have ulcers, IBS, leaky gut, etc.

As concerns the "brain fog", you may have anemia, mononucleosis, low blood pressure, etc. There are too many pathologies that have such symptoms : I suggest you a complete blood test.

As regards your muscles instead, you probably have peripheral neuropathy, it's very common and treatments are varied : from antidepressants to SNRI to opioids and so on. Discuss with your doctor/specialist about these possibilities, it's fundamental.

If you would like more pieces of info about peripheral neuropathy, I suggest you to consult this link :

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peripheral_neuropathy

    Hope to help ;)

People can’t maintain the fast metabolism they did when they were young, and too many things can’t be digested, so they must restrain their appetite and be moderately with food.

    Dear kane8907,

Unfortunately, I have to say that you are wrong : metabolism can be changed and it depends on numerous factors. Therefore, there can be a 80-year-old man with a fast metabolism, while a 20-year-old boy with a very slow one

Smoothies, eggs, overnight gluten free oats, yogurt and berries & granola. Theses are some of my go to breakfasts. I definitely need more options as well

    Dear Veronica,

May I suggest you some gluten-free, homemade pancakes with marple syrup and fruit ? I recall having cooked that sometimes and marple syrup and some slices of banana helped a lot with the savour 😅

    Thanks Neytiri,

You are right, I have to stay local. There are a number of restaurants near me that are safe to eat at.

My system hasn't yet recovered from trying Daily Harvest. I'm really surprised it has lasted this long but it may be due to me eating my own food for 6 months so I have been on a super safe diet.

    Dear Michelle1234,

You're welcome ;) It's currently really tough to be on a gluten-free diet, especially when it comes to restaurants :( Hope you're going to recover soon ;)

  13. On 10/4/2020 at 2:48 AM, Michelle1234 said:

I saw an ad for Daily Harvest and they say they are gluten free so I put in an order for a box. Tried a smoothie first and no reaction. Then tried the flatbread and had a gluten reaction. Also had a questionable reaction to their scoops. But it was the same day as the flatbread so not sure if it was just a follow up to the flatbread reaction. Two other items hard to tell because I had two at once and same questionable reaction. However there was no question on the flatbread reaction, it was my classic glutened reaction so I'm confident it was cross contaminated.

Since I loved the taste of everything I tried I asked for more details regarding their prep and they said some of their ingredients are processed on lines that process gluten ingredients but the machines were washed between uses. Apparently not washed well enough and they didn't tell me which ingredients or items so I have to consider the whole lot not safe.

Has anyone had luck with a gluten free meal delivery service? I love the concept and all the variety that I don't include on my own so would love to find something that works.

    Dear Michelle1234,

My answer is yes, but it's only a "case". Nearby my Italian village there's a pizzeria where they also prepared gluten-free pizzas and they have a delivery service. Other than this place, I never found anything else :( I think the only chance you have is searching for a gluten-free restaurant or something like that and ask if they have a delivery service....Moreover, I never found some sort of app dedicated to gluten-free meals/gluten-free meals delivery service. Hope to help some way

Hi Dear, You got love this. I am officially 100% gluten-free for the rest of my life. But I have something else cooking inside my stomach. It is not cancer but it “s related to Celiac Family :) I have no idea what it is. Dr couldn’t tell me. But I have to wait for the result of biopsy. I guess Celiac has family that I am not a wear of. My number were high on gluten 82%. Dr reffed me to see nutrition which I expected.  Then the hospital has wrong information in my chart about my illness. You couldn’t believe what they wrote there. I don’t understand why this people put wrong information and diagnose on my chart. My heart rates was high. I told them my anxiety level is higher. Plus I got mad after they read to me the reason why I am having endoscopy done and biopsy plus someone wrote on my chart I had surgery on 2016. Now I have to wait for the result:( I was watching my stomach on TV :) it funny how things happen. I have so many questions about gluten free food to buy. But I don’t know from where to start. God bless you for your help and support 🌺❤️😔

Bouchra, I'm so sorry to hear these news :( these doctors are truly shallow and clumsy ! You cannot write something wrong on such important papers ! 😠

As regards this "celiac family", unfortunately I've never heard about this :( however, it's good news that it's not cancer : that would have been worse ;)

As concerns instead the gluten-free products, I suggest you to buy ONLY certified gluten-free products (here in Italy they use a specific symbol on the packages) and be careful not to contamine your kitchen utensils and pots with gluten

Let us know the definitive result :)

God bless you too for you being good company 😊🙏

My dear Neytiri, Thank you so much for your support, and Thank you for making me laugh. Everything will get better God welling. It”s funny I am expecting the Dr to tell me “ I never seen this before” like my other surgeon told me the last time :(. I got used to it :). I will let you know about the result tomorrow. Thanks again for everything 🌺❤️

    You're welcome ! 😍😊 hope for the better 🙏

Good Morning Neytiri, Thank you for mentioning the antidepressant medication because I gave the Dr the list of my medications but he didn’t say anything at all. He jumped directly to celiac disease and he told celiac disease is causing me the nausea then he added” I think you have cancer in my stomach” I told him I want do endoscopy and biopsy. I am not embarrassed about the antidepressant medications. Please don’t say that!! I am dealing with lot things since 2018. I got injured at my work. I ended up with herniate desk on my neck c5-c6, c6- c7. I had surgery. it didn’t go well because one of the implant got twisted then I had second surgery the Dr had to open my neck again to fix it. And I am still having pain. Plus the company I used to work for determinate my job that I worked for 10 years because of my injury.  I have to take antidepressant medications to help me out dealing with this. I am just curious to find out what “s causing the nausea because I didn’t had it since my last chemo on May 2019. The medication for depression I have been taking in it since June 2018. That”s why I am surprised. And the mean time I want find out if I caused any damage to my intestine because I have been cheating for long time. I am not embarrassed to say I am depressed. Not me :) I understand what you are saying. I hope I will make through tomorrow. Sincerely, Bouchra

    Dearest Bouchra,

I think your doctor is a bit shallow : it's not right to say such cruel things without evidence :(

I'm sorry for what you have been through, that was truly tough ! Hope you can sort all things out ;)

Me neither, I am not at all embarrassed to say that I suffer from depression because I think that's a disease, just like the others (even though it doesn't involve the body itself).

Let us know the results of your exams, we'll keep giving you support 💪 (right guys ? ;) )

Hi Neytiri, The antidepressant medication I take. It causes nausea but it”s the only medication helping me right now and it dose not interfere with Platelets accounts. I am mentally exhausted from this. I am back now on celiac diet. I don’t have energy to do anything I keep drinking OJ to give little push. Good Lord! Thank you, Bouchra

    Dear Bouchra,

I've written to you this piece of info, because I thought you didn't know that. My message wasn't criticism, I am instead favourable to the assumption of antidepressants (I am taking one too).

To be sure you have an accurate diagnosis, you should continue eating gluten until you have your endoscopy.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I am medications for depression anxiety nausea Tylenol and sleeping pill so I can sleep through the pain because I am still recovering from my second surgery on my neck. Unfortunately I don’t like taking medication. When my nausea got severe I contacted my primary dr and referred me to see Gastroenterologist. Which I did. And I told him I have celiac disease for 20 years but I stopped following the diet because I was always sick. He wanted me to do blood work for infection, anaemia, platelets account and celiac. And he suggested to do endoscopy and biopsy. I told him” I agree let”s do it please. I am curious to find out the cause. But it was strange while I was in his office I saw pic of human inside stomach then I saw “ Celiac Trunk” I asked to explain to me. He told me it”s vine of celiac attached to the stomach.  Now my stomach bloated. I have to drink milk to pass gas. I apologize for using that word. Thank you so much

Dear Bouchra, I have to tell you that one of the most common side effects of antidepressants is indeed nausea. It must be written within the leaflet. However, I still suggest you to discuss it with your doctor.

  19. Dear Bouchra,

I don't want to confuse you, but I must told you that the blood test supposed to check whether you're celiac or not, it's not reliable. Your doctor gave you a good advice : do the biopsy and the endoscopy so you will have a proper result. Let us know what the result will be and, for the moment, keep eating gluten, as the gluten-free diet has caused you a lot of severe problems. I think your nausea could be caused by a drug...which drugs (medicines) are you taking ?

    it contains artificial vanilla

Synthetic vanillin is simply a cheap and unhealthy alternative for real vanilla extract. ... Unfortunately, there is no nutrient, vitamin, mineral, or other health benefits in synthetic vanillin and studies show that consuming synthetic vanillin may trigger allergic reactions, digestive disorders, and migraine headaches

Imitation vanilla, however, is made from synthetic vanillin, which is the compound that naturally occurs in vanilla beans and gives it that distinctive flavor. This synthetic vanillin can come from the previously mentioned wood pulp waste (though that's recently fallen out of favor) or coal tar, cow poop, secretions from a beaver's castor glands (located conveniently near its anus), clove oil, pine bark, or fermented bran.

Oh...my...God...I didn't know that and it's simply disgusting ! 😓😱 I think my love for Nutella just died 😔😭
