Have you read www.parathyroid.com I am being tested for this right now. I had a calcium test come back high. According to the parathyroid site it is NEVER normal to have a high calcium or high PTH. Even if the levels changes and comes down for one test.

PN is also a symptom of low B12 which can be associated with Celiac. After my B12 shots my PN gets better within an hour, and returns when the next injection is due. Have you had B12 tested ? And do you have the paperwork? The symptoms you describe sound like mine when B12 was low. Many Drs don't understand thyroid disease either as their training is flawed and influenced by drug companies. Its never normal to have a Goitre. Is it getting bigger ? Have you signed the Petitions yet ? If you google search International Hormone Society you should find it. A UK Dr needs our help before July 2 when his court case starts. TSH looks a bit high. Good Thyroid Drs start to become suspicious of HypoThyroid when TSH is greater than 2 , and you are near to that. I notice your lab is using the old range. You mean that isn't normal ? I had the tb jab when at school and seem to remember that reaction and I thought it was normal to react like that. Does that mean I had Celiac then ? Is there something in the tb jab that has gluten?

Yes ! 90 isn't a good number but what I am seeing is an erratic BP. And that screams 'adrenal' or 'HypoPituitary' to me. Try googling Schmidt's Syndrome ..... Also called Polyendocrine or Polyglandular Autoimmine Syndrome. I can't help a lot sorry as I am just researching this myself right now. I think you already know the answer to this...

Yes ! Well - at least it did for me. I started on Armour and got to 4 grains before being dx with Celiac a few months later. I started the gluten-free diet. Within months my blood tests showed high Thyroid readings and I had to reduce. I am now on 2 grains of Armour only - and fine ! ( my Dr refuses to use Synthroid - she has Hashimotos Thyroid herself...

Me too ! This is where I get a bit puzzled. You state this at the beginning of the thread. But you had HypoThyroid in 2000 with high Thyroid Antibodies. Have you had no Thyroid meds for that ? How low is your B12. Is it being treated ? The symptoms you describe could all relate to B12 and Thyroid. Blood sugar ...well....its something to watch...

People with Pernicious Anaemia ( low B12) get a yellowish colour skin. I have now, and we have talked about it at other sites. Low B12 can be caused by a few things and an autoimmune disease is one ( PA) or another is absorption problems ( Celiac for eg). Its possible that you are absorbing B12 more efficiently now you are gluten-free, and you are not as...

I would have thought this reaction sounds unlikely to be caused by Armour. This is a list of ingredients. Open Original Shared Link Did you have Forest brand Armour, or a generic brand ? If you continue to have symptoms see your Dr. A T4/ T3 combo ( synthetic) may suit you better.

Mine were the TPO Antibodies for Thyroid but there are others. Open Original Shared Link Has your Dr tested you ? Mine didn't .....for 30 years all they did was the TSH test. And as that was normal they did no further testing ..... When you have an Autoimmune disease of the Thyroid - the TSH can be normal, or can fluctuate. And some of the other tests... -

Deb, That sounds like autoimmune Thyroiditis to me! Hashimotos is one. I was dx with Antibodies of 34 - my Dr says ANY increased Antibody activity is dx of Hashis. Trace amounts of Antibodies ( 2 or 3 ) may be OK but >20 is VERY suspicious. Have you had an Ultrasound ? I was searching last night on a medical site , and they ALL talked of Antibody activity... -

Sorry Deb, You will just have to try another Dr. I have had 30 years of Drs like you had, and I agree its so upsetting. That is why I gave up for a while and suffered in silence. But - don't do that. I am planning a trip to Italy & France next year. What do you eat for breakfast at a small Hotel / B & B ? And lunch? What are the choices available ? Do the foods from the pharmacy need heating/cooking ? What happens if you don't have cooking facilities in your room ?
