    ARCHIVED Dairy ?

Thanks ! I will do a search to see if Early Harvest Bread is available in my state. Do you use rice milk just like normal milk? Could you cook with it ? What type of 'butter' did you use for your bread? I don't know if I am dairy intolerant or not - but Dr thinks so - and wants me to do the Dairy Challenge. I did that with Gluten once and that was the last...

    ARCHIVED Dairy ?

Thanks Deb, Still feeling a bit scared. Going gluten-free was bad enough.... I can't have soy. No one with thyroid troubles should have soy. I live ina small town with limited choices. I have just found gluten-free bread that my local supermarket can order for me. Today I went in and cancelled my weekly order...It has milk powder in it....
  4. I am really distressed tonight. My Dr thinks I have a dairy intolerance as well as my Gluten. I have just checked my gluten-free bread and it has milk powder ! I am thinking that a world without cheese and milk products is terrible ! I feel so down....
  5. Pain for me was a symptom of adrenal fatigue. I had the saliva tests with a good Dr , and it showed up. Previously to that I had been told it was Fibromyalgia and given pain meds. To help the adrenals last year, I was given HydroCortisone and after 6 months can say that I can feel like I have healed and am starting to wean off. Many on the Thyroid Lists say...
  6. Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease of your Thyroid. Its HypoThyroid but in an autoimmune way. Sometimes it even has symptoms of hyperthyroid - but that is just an acute flareup. It means the TSH is virtually useless and not useful to dose by. All bets are off when you have Hashis. You have to dose to suppress the TSH as much as possible ( get it to 0...
  7. He does - 1 cup of buckwheat flour, 1 cup water, 1 egg, salt to taste, spices as preferred. Whisk until a batter. Add chicken pieces ( we have large cubes)and let coat thoroughly. He said sometimes he almost lets it sit for a minute or so like this - then remove pieces and cook in deep fryer.
  8. My husband makes a buckwheat batter and coats the chicken pieces with that. I prefer it. It has a nutty taste. I would never eat at KFC. Its not really healthy eating . cc would be a big issue.
  9. I don't know if this helps or not but noticed this range of makeup had darker shades for exotic skins. www.jrminerals.com
  10. Thanks Rachel I will tell her this. I recalled you saying a bit about Lyme and how hard it was to test for it. Seems you need a good Dr for it - and need to look at symptoms too.
  11. Yes. The lab range you have is the old one. TSH test is a standard test and most labs now are (0.3 - 3.5) and there is talk that it is still too high. My Dr and many others start treating TSH higher than 2 as HypoThyroid. My husband had a TSH of 2.2 and was started immed on meds and is up to 285 mg Armour ! And if you have an Autoimmune disease of...
  12. Deb, Antibodies need testing. That will show an autoimmune disease. You can have normal (other) labs but have an autoimmune Thyroid - and and need meds. TSH range is close to 2. Many Drs are now treating TSH over 2 as abnormal. The range has changed in last few years and is now below 3.5. Headaches can be a symptom of a lot of things. But brain fog is...
  13. On one of the Thyroid Lists a lady said she had Lyme a few years ago, and has been tested recently and is OK. The blood test was negative and only P41 Ab.=Present/Abnormal. She was told that she did not currently have it. Does this mean that she might still have it and the right test hasn't been done ? She has multiple food intolerances and can only eat...
  14. Gosh - I think I would emigrate Or go overseas for my Dr and meds. Got any holidays planned ?
  15. I have just ordered a whole new range of Mineral Makeup and can say its great! And all gluten-free ( except the flavoured lip balms). They are in Australia and ship all around the world and their prices seem good. The online site ordering was so easy and the lady answers mails really fast if you aren't sure on something. www.jrminerals.com I have no connection...
  16. I have just changed all my makeup over to Mineral makeup and love it! I am getting mine from an Australian company but they ship overseas and have a website. JR Minerals. Its a lot cheaper than most and its seem great. I have the lipstick pen and thats super glossy but not a long laster but still great. Also pots of lip colour. She said she will have new lipsticks...
  17. What many are thinking.... Armour is TOO good. It controls HypoThyroid, depression, high cholestrol, osteoporous, obesity, hypoglycemia, muscle pain, type 2 diabetes etc etc etc So you add up what all THOSE meds cost and see how one pill that replaces all of those is going to cost the drug companies big $$$s. Sadly - there is more profit in keeping people...
  18. Deb, We need to see ranges for the Free T4. TSH means little when trying to dx Thyroid, except that yours is a bit high. You haven't had FREE T3 done , or ANTIBODIES. You haven't had all the tests. The other tests you had are not important for dx problems. Brain fog is a major symptoms of Hypo. Depression is too and why didn't your Dr trial Thyroid meds...
  19. And this person has a Drs license Sounds like another Dr being controlled by Big Pharma. I am not sure what this means. The best way to get those TPO Antibodies to 0 where they should be - is enough Armour.
  20. Thanks Peggie , there is amazing info there. You are brave to eat airline food ! My major symptom of a Glutening is Fatigue and am scared that my holiday may be ruined by the Fatigue before I even start if I eat airline food ! We will probably have backpacks - so not much room. Its so scary to go to another country and not have your safe kitchen and...
  21. Its called Best Things in Life , 92a Unley Rd. They are also on the web at Open Original Shared Link I got some rocky road from them. Yummy ! Peg, Hi! How did you cope in England ? We may be there next year and I am getting stressed. Lots of info about supermarket food but how do you cook it ?Do you need to stay at places with kitchens ? And are all pubs...
  22. Quite possibily. If you have adrenal problems the thyroid meds like Armour don't work that well - so could be the same for all thyroid meds. But have heard a lot say that they need constant testing and changes of meds when they take synthetics. It could also be that your Hashis, which we suspect - isn't under control at all - and you are just having a hyper...
  23. I get bruises much more now. Don't tell me there is an autoimmune reason for it ! Not another one ! I have 4 autoimmune problems. Hashimoto's Thyroid, Pernicious Anaemia, GI, and Vitiligo.
  24. I have heard some stories about some of these Drs. Some seem to get on that list but are still anti Armour. How - I don't know. So always ask when you ring to make an appt what that Dr's thoughts are re treating HypoThyroidism. Ask questions, interview , and make sure that the Dr is happy to listen and work 'with you' as a team. I know. Its weird. I...
  25. Absolutely. In fact - being HypoThyroid is VERY serious when you are pregnant and can cause all types of problems for the unborn baby. You must keep up with your treatment and Armour is the most bio identical to your own., available. A good place to start looking for a Armour Dr is to ask your local Compounding Chemist.
