ARCHIVED Just Got Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia
georgie replied to mythreesuns's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Yes. Have you charted your temps according to Dr Rinds page? With adrenals - the temps are low but fluctuate. If Thyroid they are constant low. If Thyroid AND adrenal then basal temp is way low, and temp rises but stays too low and is up and down too much. How are fixing your adrenals ? Nodules showed up with an ultrasound. The Goitre grew rapidly at... -

Antibodies for Hashimotos Thyroid. Its an Autoimmune disease of the Thyroid. Drs are trained that unless the TSH is out of range then there is NO chance of Hashimotos. Not true. Also - just to make things really confusing for you - 10% of people with Hashimotos NEVERshow Antibodies. ie the blood test has a number of false negatives. I had only a TPO # of... -

Ursula, Were Antibodies tested ? Antibodies show up the Autoimmune low thyroid which is prob what all us Celiac will have. Once you have Antibodies those other labs don't mean a lot. The Antibodies attack and kill your thyroid off - and levels change all the time. Most people with Hashis Thyroid feel better when Free T3 is OVER range. If on Armour that... -

Karen, Ursula, CarlaB, anyone else that posted. Sorry out of town yesterday. Look - HONEST- the answer sweet and simple is Armour. Yes - you can get it in Canada. Its called Thyroid there I think. Broda Barnes is completely right. TSH is USELESS. Temps are the best test of poor thyroid. Until that afternoon temp gets to 98.6 - YOU HAVE LOW THYROID ! www... -

Susan, Some people notice no difference with sublinguals and needs injections. How low was your B12 ? Correct loading dose varies but is intensive - weekly or daily jabs for weeks - followed by monthly jabs for life. The sublinguals may work once you level is a bit higher. Methylcobalamin 3000mcg is the best type. Michelle, Is there cobalt... -

Lyn, I have a wonderful computer that found me a website.... The Endo I saw was about the worst and have heard that story many times since. $ynthroid - it doesn't work .... Have you ever heard of Armour ? My Dr prescribes it and basically doses to symptoms - not TSH.She tests me Free T3 and Free T4 and lets them get OVER range as that is the best way to... -
I wonder this too. I have 10 fillings. Many are old and complex with pins. To remove will nearly kill me. Someone is going to have to say they are 100% sure I will get better if they are removed. Chances are - will lose all my teeth as the fillings are too bad to repair. I see the Dr next week. I have had hair analysis done and get results. As I said. I...

Hi, I am from SA near Adelaide. Would you believe that I couldn't even get a gluten-free cake with my coffee at DJ last week ? All they had said 99% gluten-free. I was so hungry. Fancy having to pack your own food in Adelaide ! -

I don't understand this either. My blood test was normal and Dr said I was only Gluten Intolerent and may improve in time. Does anyone know if the gene test is available in Australia? -

MtnDog,Tired of Drs, Thanks for your welcome! TofD ...what do you take now for having no Thyroid ? Its just - that so many people lose the pain once they get onto Armour. I don't really know why - but its must be the extra T1 and T2 and T3 in it.. Not a lot of Drs know how to dose it but if you find one that does ... you could be pain free ! My Antibodies... -
ARCHIVED My Unusual Symptoms
georgie replied to a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yes. I was just thinking the same thing. My pins and needles in feet get better almost immed after a jab and come back when next jab is due. Lozenges are supposed to work as well as a jab. Methylcobalamin is the preferred. Might be worth a try. -

Having had Fibromyalgia and beaten it - can offer some tips. Chinese Acupuncture was great. Did wonders. Also - get Thyroid checked. TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and Antibodies. Its the Antibodies that link it to Celiac. Autoimmune. And to make matters even harder. 10% of people with Hashimotos Thyroid don't show Thyroid Antibodies anyway. www.stopthethyroidmadness... -
ARCHIVED Anybody End Up With Grave's Disease?
georgie replied to tailz's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have Hashimotos Thyroid which is different to Graves but have read others and they all say 'NO RAI' unless its for cancer. I take Armour and LOVE IT !! So natural and you feel so good. Most Drs don't know how to prescribe and get the dose all wrong. If you have weak adrenal function you need that treated as well. www.stopthethyroidmadness.com -

ARCHIVED Great News! It Was Pernicious Anemia All Along
georgie replied to NicoleAJ's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
NicoleAJ, I have just been dx with low B12 this year and Dr is still testing to see if I have Pernicous Anaemia. My B12 was 148 when dx. Have had pin and needles in feet for years. And Drs were talking of MS ages ago. With the injections you need a loading dose to start with and then maintainance dose ( or sublinguals). I had 12 jabs in 12 weeks, then onto... -
ARCHIVED Adrenal Fatigue And Celiac Disease
georgie replied to gointribal's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have adrenal fatigue and mine was caused by having low Thyroid function and a normal TSH and no Dr ever ordering the right Thyroid tests for 30 years. I kept working and exhausted myself. www.stopthethyroidmadness.com has a good test for adrenal function that you can do yourself. -
I was dx with Hashimotos Thyroid in May of this year. Next visit received news of a low B12 and poss Pernicious Anaemia. And gluten intolerence. Then noticed a patch of Vitiligo. Then a patch of Psorasis. I am taking natural Armour for the Thyroid and my Goitre is shrinking and Thyroid Antibodies reducing - so hope the Vitiligo doesn't get bigger.
-
Kendra, Your Dr hasn't ordered the correct tests for Thyroid. You should have had TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and 2 types of Antibodies, Ferritin , and B12 tested. I have Hashimotos Thyroid and was dx May this year with Antibodies of 35 and a huge Goitre in my throat that was making it hard for me to swallow or talk. I had to go to 3 different Drs and most don...

Hi Ursula, Thanks for the spedy reply ! I have a great Dr but ...she just seemed to think my Gluten Intolerence was a minor issue. Its just reading this Forum and other info that a lightglobe is coming re my low B12, & Hashis Thyroid. What came first ??? Its a bit of a shock to be dx with all 3 at once ! How many people test negative to Celiac but... -
ARCHIVED Newbie And Confused
georgie posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi Everyone, I am new here and hope I am doing this right. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroid in May 2006, and Dr tested me for B12 and Celiac. The Celiac test came back as normal but Dr did a Gluten Tolerence Diet Challenge which I failed ( severe stomach pain and fatigue). She said I was Gluten Intolerent and to eat gluten-free foods. Since then...
