  1. JOAN,S gluten-free GREAT BAKES BY FAR THE BEST ENGLISH MUFFINS EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Hi , Long Island seems to be the place to be. My favorite, Joan's gluten-free Great Bakes just opened on Long Island. Just got an email about an open house Grand Opening on June 29. The candy in Huntington sounds great and now I can have my favorite bagels without shipping. www.gfgreatbakes .com. We are very lucky to be near so many great gluten-free shops
  3. Mamaw, It looks like we both know who makes the best bagels . I come from Brooklyn, the home of the real bagel and joan comes the closest I have ever had
  4. Count me in on voting for Joan's bagels OMG .If you want a bagel ,not a gluten-free imitation, you have to get Joan's.You cannot tell thedifference between them and a wheat based bagel. If you fill up a box,the shipping isn't too bad.
  5. Hi Tinkerbell, the vendor fair was great,so many people and sellers of all kinds of gluten-free products,It was wonderfull to be able to walk around and just eat and taste everything. The standout was Joan's pizza OMG it is a real pizza. Did yoou try it ?She had about 10 pies made up for sampling and they disappeared in a minute. She is now selling the crusts but ran out right away at the fair. I have not had those blisters in the roof of my mouth in years ,yeah pizza burn. Hers is great!!!
  6. I am really happy to hear that,it is my favorite .I even use it to make cookies.
  7. I CAN NOT WAIT TILL IT IS OVER!!! I MADE A MATZOH THAT TASTES LIKE CARDBOARD AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SINK MY TEETH INTO AN EVERYTHING BAGEL!jOAN'S BAGELS ARE DELICIOUS AND i AM SOO TIRED OF CARDBOARD! IT IS ALMOST OVER.
  8. If you have bought all the other English Muffins like I have ,and then tasted Joan's you would know that there is something very different about them. The taste, texture appearance are so superior maybe the way they make them is very different. All I know is I threw the others out because they crumble and taste awful. These taste like really good food.

  10. Hi Pinky, I am not only celiac, but diabetic ,and have contacted Joan on two occaisions to find out the calories and carbs. The English Muffins are 200 cal ,almost identical to "real" ones and the bagels have about 270 cal. They are low in sugars and fats and I can work them into my diet. They are not more anything then the real ones.
  11. Broncobux I would rather pay a little more for something delicious to eat than but something that I have to throw away . That gets petty costly ,throwing out food that does not taste good. We have all done that !
  12. Hi Chris,I have been saying that for months!!! They taste real, just like her bagels .I just met Joan at a support group meeting in NJ.She is a real sweetie and very proud of her products. She is going to make graham crackers and pizza I think. I cant wait.I make English muffin pizza now but a really good pizza is something I have been missing. We have something to look forward to. Bye for now

    What To Eat

hi Paula,i found a dairy free, egg free ,soy free gluten free english muffin that is from Joans gfgreatbakes. She has a website and you can look at the muffins. They are really delicious.
  14. Just try them, they are well worth the money ! I have had them for about 6 months.and they make me feel normal. They are crusty chewy and easy to bake. :I find most gluten-free food expensive and if I am going to pay for it I might as well enjoy eating it!

    Breads?

Hi, I too avoid the white breads because of sawdust in the mouth. I use Joans gfgreatbakes English Muffins. They are like Thomas muffins. If you have time try the bagels, you can take them for lunches. My favorite is chicken salad on a bagel. I had not had that for six years. I nearly cried with the first one
