  1. Hello: Can anyone suggest a high fiber gluten-free cracker. Most that I have seen, seem to be of no nutritional value, and only empty calories. Thank you in advance, Haleigh
  2. First of all, thank you ALL for your help. I have so many of the symptoms for Celiac, but it was dismissed due to negative blood tests. I am so relieved that I will be feeling better soon. My son was never dignosed with celiac. The pediatrician gave me anti-biotic creams for his diaper rash. The algergist, dermatologist said it was not related to food. On my own, before internet days, I took away all his foods, and reintroduced them one by one, and reallized that wheat and gluten were the culprit. He would have huge welts on his behind if he had consumed even one cherio. When he became potty trained, it didn't appear to be an issue. (I know better now) He's a teen now, and with the help of his peditrician (new one), I will have him tested as well. Are there any other tests I should have? Again, thank you so much. You've all been more help than many of the "so called" specialists that I have turned to. Haleigh
  3. Thank you so much for your response. Does this mean that I have celiac? Does being gluten free, mean wheat free? Also, I do know that there are other grains that have gluten, because my son had a problem with it as a baby ( a clue pertaining to my own situation). What does the auto-immune aspect mean?   5. How long does it take to get Enterolab results? I sent a "sample" early this week. Just thankful that I didn't mix it up with some of the gifts that I sent out this week. I think. Haleigh
  6. My son was delayed developmentally. He couldn't sit up until 10 months old, so the Dr. would not let me feed him. Once I started him on solids food (cheerios), he developed a horrible diaper rash, which would never go away. He bleed in his diaper area all the time. I took away his Cheerios, and gave him Otios. It got MUCH better, but never ok. Now I know that oats may not have been good for him, but maybe better than wheat. The pediatrician, alergist, and dermatolagist never mentioned celiac. I even told them that anyone who ate bread, then touched my son, would cause welts on his skin. This was before we had a computer and internet. I had my son stick to a wheat free diet until he was potty trained. The good news, I think he was a much healthier baby than all of my friend's babies. I spoke to a holistic Dr. at a social event, and she told me that may be very true, because of the wheat-free life. BTW, he caught up developmentally around 3 years of age.He's 13 1/2, and healthy and happy, as any teen can be. My advise would be to go to a nutritionist, and start a wheat gluten free diet. With proper guidance, I don't think you can go wrong. It is a huge commitment, and even one cheerio, would set my son back for a few days Good luck. Haleigh
  7. Thank you for your responses. My teeth, also, are crumbling out of my mouth. Instead of all the dental work I've had. It would have been nice if I could have stopped the decay, rather than fix each tooth, one by one. Thank you again! Haleigh
  8. Does anyone have an opinion for which Enterolab test I should take? I'd like to know if I could have celiac. I have celiac. Since I usually do not eat wheat or gluten, I assume my bloodtests may not be accurate.   9. I am a newbie, and I suspect that I have celiac, although my blood test show to the contrary. I don't eat very much (if any) bread, or past so my tests may not be accurate. Does anyone on this board have problems with their teeth (decay), and a high c-reactive protein? Also, I started menopuse about the age of 41. Has anyone had similar experiences? Thank you in advance! ps. my son had dermatitus in the diaper area when he was a baby, and cutting out wheat and guten helped a lot (Did this on my own). No one mentioned celiac at all (pre-internet days)
