  1. Buckwheat is my girls favorite from Bob's. I order it in the 25lb bag....They eat an amazing amount of it.....puts me to shame...lol Vicki
  2. Carla Thanks ... they usually eat buckwheat cereal for breakfast every day. The company that I bought the oats from grows them specifically in a way to elimate any contamination. This is a small Canadian company and has gotten approval from many celiacs across the country. I do think simply that my daughters have such a severe reaction to any gluten that oats just can't be tolerated for their diet. The can just keep eating their buckwheat from Bobs Red Mill..... Vicki
  3. Hi Thanks for that. I figured it was the 2nd one you listed. The girls don't have a virus or anything. When they are ill from gluten its a whole different thing. They know it and even tell me.....I know this when I accidently fed them gluten. I was so hoping that they could enjoy "oatmeal" like I do. Vicki
  4. Hi everyone...I'm new here and I'll give you a little bit of history. I'm not the one with Celiac disease but my twin 5 year old girls have had this disease for 4 years now. They have a severe case and are usually vomitting within 2 hours even after ingesting the smallest trace amounts of gluten. So....my story today is like this. There is a company where I live that produces "gluten free" oats. It is organically grown and many many many people with celiac have eaten them and loved them. I fed my girls some today in the form of yummy "hot cereal", so they could eat oatmeal like mummy. To make a long story short...they didn't like it and only each had about 1/2 tsp. Within 2-3 hours they were both puking and extremely sick. Is there an intolerance to just oats for people with celiac???? Any opinions....good or bad!!! Gotta take both.... would certainly be appreciated!!!!! Have a super day Vicki BTW...I'm being tested for Celiac next month. My girls were the only ones in my family with in and my uncle was diagnosed last year.....now I'm realizing that I too might have this.
