My mother made a balsamic garlic chicken in the crockpot (fantastic) and

shredded beet/carrot coleslaw. MMMMMMM......

Definitely no cat involved with the Celiac here, I've been terribly allergic since birth.

WELL.......it looks like we are heading to Boston at the end of June, and I will be meeting up with BEVEL!!       SO excited about this. Don't think there are any other Psillies close enough to that part of MA to rendezvous with us....but the invitation is open! Would LOVE to have a Psilly Love-in....

 

Now, recent news has strongly discouraged me from trying to entice any of youse to this nation's capital for a touristy rendezvous....

use round cake pans that have a bottom that is removable -- doh!  at least my kitchen smells like carmel this morning -- not going to be fun to clean out the oven -- will have to wait until later -- off to cram a bit more and play taxi driver.

Aaaaaand this is why there's aluminum foil covering the bottom rack in my oven

Loey- Charcoal! Worked like magic for me last time I got glutened. And I used

digestive enzymes for the next week to help with getting my other foods absorbed.

And Yogi Peach Detox tea, which happens to be quite tasty as well. Watch out with

the charcoal- it should be taken away from any other supplement or food.

I had grass fed cheeseburgers with provolone and homefries. Yeahhhhh......

Geez, so many topics to cover.... My favorite color is red, although it irks me to

no end that the color I look best in is pink. I love yellow and green but can't wear

them as my skin is remarkably yellow and it makes me look like I'm dying a slow

death.   My birthstone is diamonds, so that's nice.

My favorite frozen pizza crust is most definitely the Against the Grain one. You

gotta have a pizza stone to put it on or it gets all soggy though. I have had the

Kinnikinnick ones and they are pretty good. I'm going to try taking Addy's cheese

bread that I turn into crepes and put them on the pizza stone and see if they make

pizza crust- update to follow soon I hope! If it works I'd imagine they would freeze

quite nicely for homemade frozen pizza crusts.

I forgot to mention, the zinc drop thing (I use the Zand brand) also totally

numbs the canker sore. It doesn't hurt to have the lozenge on it, it makes

it feel better almost right away and leaves it numb for a good half hour.

Zand makes an elderberry zinc lozenge, they're like little hard candies,

only good stuff in them, gluten free, and they're mighty tasty too!

Addy, for temporary relief of the canker sores you're dealing with right now,

you might try some zinc lozenges. On the rare occasion I get one I hold the

zinc lozenge in my mouth right over the canker sore, two-three times a day.

Usually clears up in less than 48 hours. I've also found that 'normal people'

toothpaste sets off canker sores for me, so now I use Dr Bronner's minty

soap, one drop at a time from a dropper, to brush my teeth. Sounds weird,

but if it keeps me from getting those HORRENDOUS canker sores I'll keep

it up!!!
