ravenwoodglass got a reaction from knitty kitty in Desperately need help with wife and my gluten allergy.
So sorry that you are going through all this. It sounds like your wife is the main problem right now and you are right to be fearful that she is doing harm not just to you but also to your children. Has she ever gone to a doctors appointment... -

The emotional stress alone from dealing with such a situation will severely deplete vitamin and mineral status beyond gluten free or AIP diet. I sincerely hope your situation will get better as soon as possible.

I'm so sorry reading about your situation. To me it sounds as if your wife is gaslighting you.

Glad you are feeling better. Many drugs need to be tapered off rather than quitting suddenly. Your doctor or pharmacist should be able to tell you if the ones you are on is safe to just stop suddenly.

Sublingual B12 is helpful until we have healed as it is absorbed by the mucous membranes and can enter the system that way.

Try a different doc. I was diagnosed by a naturopathic MD based on 3 things : high positive blood test, DNA test, response to gluten free diet. I have a letter from him with that diagnosis.

If you had a positive blood test and bad symptoms that went away on a gluten-free diet this should be confirmation enough. It’s your call if you need an official piece of paper that says celiac disease on it (which could make private h... -

You don't have to. You do not need a doctors permission to be gluten free.

You had a positive diagnosis with blood, endo and genetic markers when you were diagnosed. Blood testing has shown your numbers have come down and you have had some relief although you admit to a few glutenings. Your doctor now wants... -

I have all the information. I will avoid the whopper. If it turns out that they do want me to introduce gluten, and I do react quickly, I’ll just make it a point to document all symptoms and report promptly. I’m not going on gluten foo... -

During the many years it took for me to be diagnosed I found Immodium to be very effective. The caplets are preferable to the liquid IMHO. I took it for years so I could work and take care of my kids. In addition to Scotts advice having... -
ravenwoodglass reacted to Scott Adams in Pain & Numbness on one side of body
The neurological manifestation of celiac disease (and gluten sensitivity) is not uncommon, so I am not sure why your doctor would indicate otherwise. Here are dozens of summaries of research on this:

ravenwoodglass reacted to LisaGayle in PAXLOVID
It's certainly possible. I DO have drug reactions that have nothing to do with gluten. That said, it doesn't change the fact that we need safe, allergen-free drugs.

@LisaGayle,
Are you going to be our allergen- free medication lobbyist?
I can't take sulfa drugs.
Maybe you're reacting to the drug itself.

This is a frustrating situation. I have, until very recently, volunteered at a food pantry and they are quite overwhelmed at this point in time. We have to prepack foods for clients for the sake of speed and I have had to tell folks ... -

Since you had positive celiac panel results you could ask the doctor to retest your antibodies in a few months and if symptoms have resolved and antibodies are down that should be enough for a diagnosis. As far as gene testing goes ... -
