Yes, it certainly can! My daughter has a reaction from just playing with Playdough. She doesn't get GI symptoms at first, just psychological mostly. It can get really bad. It's like night/day behavior. My daughter is eight, but started showing signs around 6.
I just wanted to point out that the QUANTITY of exposure to eggs in baked goods would naturally be much less than if you were to eat a whole egg. I think that's why they appear to be tolerated in baked goods, but not as a stand-alone food.
Hepatotoxicity DOES happen with kratom. It happened to my husband. He turned yellow with jaundice and his urine became brown. This was only after taking it three times. I know because I was the one who gave it to him, unfortunately. People should realize that it can and does happen.
