Does anyone know if Emeril's Steak Rub is Gluten Free? I sprinkled some on some organic beef earlier and now feel like I've been Glutened. Thanks for the help.
-
oh yeah, today I can hardly get out of bed..definetly got glutened..yikes. I feel like a truck hit me. Thanks for all your help friends!

Did you eat anything else with them that could be suspect?
....or maybe you have another food intolerance........corn?
Nope, just BBQ'd chicken no sauces..vegatable mixture, and salsa
-
I get "crossed" up from any tortilla brand..and gosh darn it I love mexican food so much..oh well..another wasted $3.99 on bad food
-
Well, feeling all nasty after eating some Gluten and Wheat free tortillas ..I am allergic to soy and intolerable to milk, but they don't have any of that in them. Can't figure it out..rice bran maybe? They are from Whole Foods market BTW

wow, didn't expect to hear this much response from my fellow Glutenites. I thought I would be raked over the coals for being an alarmist lol. Glad to know I am not the only one worried. To the last poster with the Bible verse, that is all reassuring but, God also said "God helps those that help themselves".Be prepared and don't be ignorant of what is coming. Thanks for all the ideas on stock items you guys!--Take Care of yourselves, Greg

Supposing that the US dollar totally collapses and we are forced to fend for ourselves with no more markets available for all the frilly gluten free health foods we eat? {yeah worst case scenario, but it COULD happen}.What are you all going to do to keep from eating stuff like BREAD or gluten ridden foods that are the only thing available if things hit the fan? I am kinda scared at this fact mainly because I get sick from Soy and Milk products too so I am tripled screwed in this scenario. As you can imagine gluten-free foods will be of no longer importance when regular bread might be the only thing we can get.{think, great depression bread lines}. Let's toss around some ideas..I don't think I can go back to eating this stuff but don't have any clue what to do should we have desperation here.

Thanks for all your help ladies and gents. Looks like it is going to be a long process. I was just learning about being "Gluten free,Soy Free,Dairy Free" since January or so, but didn't get the swing of things til a couple months ago. I had a 100% processed food diet before hand. Also just figured out milk and or casein makes me groggy and dizzy as well, so now have to drink cowboy coffee with no milk lol. I have a sleep apnea type condition which impedes my sleep all the time, can't wake up early to go to a job, can't walk more than 1/2 mile then get dizzy and feel faint although eating right, joint and muscle aches when poisoned, etc. My roomates eat tons of gluten stuff all the time and I might still be getting cross contaminated while preparing in the kitchen..who knows..but being a former truck driver and being on the road all day {local route} I can't just eat gluten, soy, and milk free every 4 hours like I need to function right or I get diabetic type symptoms and almost pass out..it all hit me in 2004 and never seemed to have problems til then. I am not looking for a handout by any means but if I am entitled it through the points i've saved up over the years and I am truly involved with a disabling food allergy which limits my daily activities I feel this will help pay my bills til I get better. I have a phone interview with SSI next friday afternoon. Thank you all again! I appreciate it greatly!---Greg

Is anyone receiving social security disability benefits for their celiac disease? If so how hard was it to get and how long did you have to wait. I have been our of work since February 2008 and thought it might be possible to get this coverage as I cannot work right now and need some income. Can anyone with any knowledge of this share their story.
-
Hi Sacramento here..28 y/o male..How are you guys?
-
If anyone eats at The Cheesecake factory on Arden, ask for Patrick the Manager..his mom is a celiac and I found this out the other day eating with family..I order just a plain chicken meal with the asparagus and it came with cream sauce that was said to be olive oil based with some lemon..but no, he came out and admitted there was flour used to thicken the cream sauce ..bleh! So maybe he can help out if you guys get over there to eat..the burger sans the bun is EXCELLENT!

Me too, before I tryed going off the Gluten...sunsets and darkness were my killers...i felt like i was going to go blind.I still get the twitchy eye syndrome right after being glutened..it's bad! I know what you mean though.
-
I notice the same thing after even being mostly gluten free, {compared to what I was, hehe}..the affects are MUCH worse and noticable. It does make it easier to pinpoint what we just ate, as for me I feel it within 30 seconds of eating a bite of gluten..just muscle through it as best as possible if you can.Good Luck to you.
-
BUMP again, I would like to know as well...hey we should have a get-together all of us "gluttens for punishment" in Sacramento and grab some gluten free foods..who else is down?
-
I just threw away a couple old boxes I never used of Puffins a few minutes ago, it gets me with the dizzy and tired spells too.
-
Word people! I go through the fog alot, i guess i'm still eating something with wheat or gluten in it.This is so terrible..
-
I tend to have the hardest time during sunrise and sunset. It feels like the world is setting on me and I am going to just "fade out" into a dark tunnel.Flourescent lighting is bad as well..
-
wow..I went through sleep apnea tests, inner ear disorders, now finally I've come home to what ailes me! I have all of those same things myself..however I get REALLY dizzy and feel like I am being rocked or pushed off my chair immediatly after eating wheat!
