i find that one of the only ups to that is not gaining the snacking weight, haha! i mean i worked a camp this year with three other counselors in my group and the catered food gave them each at least a good three pounds, especially from the dailly deserets....but i didnt get that, so look on the bright side...its harder for you to gain the FRESHMAN FIFTEEN

dating would be SOO much easier if the guys i went out with had celiac disease...i wouldnt have to explain every tiny detail about what i can and cant eat when we go out....o sounds like heaven, haha! are there any teenage boys in the nj area? it would make my life a lot easier! hahaha!

i go the second largest high school in the state, there are nearly 4,000 students there and out of the entire student population i am the only kid with celiac disease there, it makes it realy hard a lot of time...one of the things that makes it the worst is when my friends make lil jokes tryin to be funny about not tryin to hurt my feelins, but eventuly it just crushes my spirit...ya know? n then there is when they are eating my old fav foods...i HATE that....ugh...its two years but it doesnt feel better when you see them,....i need someone to relate to, to talk to...a friend who understands...

Pedicure...that's feet, right? Ya... well, gluten cannot be absorbed through the skin (or nails for that matter) so unless you stick your feet in your mouth or something, there shouldn't be a problem. Hands...could be a problem since it could find its way into your mouth if you bite your nails or it chips off or I don't know...
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
whether or not it can be absorbed through the skin, my old favorite line or hand creams bath and body works all has wheat in it...they give me hives and rashes nows from the exposure, so the tests may say one thing...but the hand creams said somethign else....which really stinks for me....haha

hi...i really want to go and get a manicure and pedicure, i havent in a while because of all the different things they use there without ingrediants...they have the base coat, the top coat, the basic color, and then there is the hand cream, and soap they pour into the pedicure water and so on! i went for one with my cousin after i was diagnosed and got sick after...i think it was from one of the things they used but i cant be sure which one...i also tried asking them to see the ingrediants but they didnt understand...i also tried to bring my own things but they seemed to have more things then i brought and didnt understand or listen when i told them not to use theirs....is there a special salon or some place?......let me know please!

Hey. My name is Jessie and i'm fifteen years old. I found out about a year ago that i have celiac. i was told by everyone that i was lucky becuz normally i didnt eat a lot of bread, but it was annoying because i ate pasta like 24/7. after my mental breakdown and a week or two of crying i started to get interested in what was going on, i found some great mail order bakeries and there are some restauraunts out there that are either compliant to the gluent free way of eating or have set things on their menu that can be eaten. i admit its hard watching people pig out on dunkin doghnuts or going out to eat with friends, but it does get easier.

i go to this huge high school that is over crowded and to cut down on the student population they have a schedule option called zero period that i opted for...i go earlier in the morning before the regular school day starts and then i get to leave early and have lunch at home...not having to worry about the hastle of school lunches! you should find out if they have an option like this it is definitly worth getting up earlier!
