While it may feel bizarre, sensitivities like these can sometimes point to underlying conditions like chemical sensitivities, histamine intolerance, or even specific food additives. Have you considered con...

Scott Adams replied to Dana Gilcrease's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Welcome to the forum! The following two lists are very helpful for anyone who is gluten sensitive and needs to avoid gluten when shopping. It's very important to learn to read labels and understand sources of hidden gluten, and to know some general information about product labelling--for example in the USA if wheat is a possible allergen... -
Momma married a bread baker

I'm sorry about your financial issues, and unfortunately we can't offer any legal advice here, but at least you've figured out that you have celiac disease, and have hopefully lead a more healthy life as the result. -
Since your symptoms are so severe and obvious, I can't really think of a compelling reason to get the confirmation, especially when weighed against some of the downsides of having an official diagnosis that are mentioned in the thread I shared. Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent...

Scott Adams replied to ellieb13's topic in Dermatitis Herpetiformis
If you get tested for celiac disease be sure that you are eating lots of gluten daily in the 6-8 weeks before the test, otherwise you could get false positive results. Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread... -

Antibodies went up
Scott Adams replied to Barcino's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
You are correct in looking closer at her diet, as there may still be trace amounts of gluten, even from a gluten-free bakery (are their ingredient suppliers certified gluten-free?). You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version... -
You're doing an amazing job planning ahead for your son's first ski trip with celiac disease! It’s great that the hotel and organization are supportive, which makes a big difference. For dinners, consider simple gluten-free meals like pre-cooked rice or quinoa bowls with a protein (like grilled chicken or turkey slices) and steamed or roasted vegetables. ...

Unfortunately many doctors don't know the proper protocol for a screening for celiac disease. Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day: -

It sounds like you're navigating a lot right now, and it’s good that you’re being proactive about your health given your family history and symptoms. Based on the results you shared, the elevated IgA Gliadin and IgG Gliadin antibody levels could indicate an immune response to gluten, which may suggest celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. However, your tis... -
