    I just bought a Presto Cool Daddy at Kohl's. I'm not sure if it counts as "compact" though. It's definitely big enough for anything we'd ever put in it. I haven't used it yet, but hubby found reviews that said it was good.

    I'd check the Centrum. When I called them (last Jan.) they said all of their children's chewables contained gluten. But that's been almost a year. Are you sure on the A-1? I've never checked A-1, because my hubby was a Heinz 57 fan (which does contain gluten from malt or something, I can't remember). I too would ditch the Lays and Fritos for awhile...

    Here's the cookie recipe. It's too buttery for my tastes, but my son like them. This recipe is for sandwich cookies, but I just made the headstones (single layer, not a sandwich).     I too was shocked by how little had to be removed. Despite that that means a lot of candy around the house, it was fantastic! A nice story...our neighbor went online and looked up gluten free candy. She bought her candy to hand out based on what my son could eat. How sweet was that?!?!?     I know this is going to sound like I'm totally bragging...and well...I probably am. But more importantly I wanted to share an idea! I signed up to bring the treats for my son's Halloween party so they could be gluten free. My son and I came up with Halloween graveyard pudding cups.     This isn't a quick solution, but you could invite your family over for smaller meals several times (just parents one time, siblings another, whoever is a problem) and make them some of your "weird" food. I think people only believe it is "weird" until they eat it. I mean a turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries...most Thanksgiving foods are...

    Please double check me, but I believe all Crest toothpastes are gluten-free. Again, please call to confirm, but when I called to check on the regular paste I think they said all were.

    How wonderful! The eating thing amazed me - the quantity. I always thought my son was a big eater. Then we went gluten free - OH MY! I would pack his lunch box jammed full! And my mom would take him lunch twice a week to give her extra big meals. They don't get very long for lunch and she would come home laughing about how the other kids talk and carry...
