    We just bought some Soy Crispettes from Whole Foods Market a couple weeks ago for the first time. My son has been begging to try them, but I have been getting cold feet. I don't know why.     Thanks, Mary! My son loves BBQ. I assumed any pre-made stuff wouldn't be gluten-free. I've made it twice with left over pork tenderloin, but we don't usually have leftovers and my "quickie" version isn't as good as "real" BBQ. Thanks!

    We use a lot of replacements to keep our son's diet yummy and as similar to his old diet as possible.     The dust has settled. We've talked and I believe he was nervous about the bus ride. He normally LOVES the bus ride, but with the D in the morning and then the bad cramping the afternoon he just got nervous. We have the new system and he seems to understand. Call if you HAVE to come home. Call if you want mom to pick you up instead of riding the bus....

    I don't have Celiac and started late. Then I went through years of annual periods instead of monthly. I too went on to have a child and very normal "regular" life. Really don't sweat this yet. 14 isn't that old. A close friend of our family is a pediatrician and she said there is a lot of research on kids going through puberty much earlier these days...

    Thanks, everyone! We went wild at both stores. And as an added bonus, there as a woman there who heard us talking about gluten free to the clerk and her daughter wrote a cookbook that she happened to have in the car. We bought one from her! Obviously I haven't tried any recipes yet, but it was full of good info for a newbie like myself plus the recipes...

    Well isn't that odd! I just assumed Celiacs would react the same way every time, except maybe with varying degrees of severity depending on how much gluten they actually got. Just when I think I've figured this disease out!
