I used to buy a frozen pkg of gluten-free egg rolls. That store closed and I can't find them anywhere. The fact that I have forgotten the company that makes then doesn't help. I have found a store that will order them for me if I can get the name. Any body out there know who makes a good frozen egg roll?

I make gluten-free pancakes with all buckwheat flour, Never had a problem, and the family likes them better than the old wheat ones.
-
I have no problem with dairy, so I use fat free half and half.

I feel like it is probably best to get your fiber from unpeeled fruits and vegetables. If you occasionally need an extra bit, try Miralax, which has no taste, no grit and mixes with any liquid.

Wow. I hope y'all realize how lucky you are. I live in Jackson, the capital of Mississippi and although I dearly love MS and would not want to live anywhere else, we are a tad late on the "newest". We have wonderful restaurants, and most of them can feed me with no trouble. Unfortunately, Redbridge is about it for beer. (Yuck!!!!!) I have become a wine and cocktail drinker, but I would love to have access to a gluten-free beer that actually tastes like beer.

Thanks, Cyclinglady. I do fine with regular vodka… in fact I'm having a vodka-diet tonic right now. I guess I am drawn to the cool copper cups, but I just wanted to try a Moscow Mule. Our regular bar knows me and my health issues and they take real good care of me. The work "beer" had me spooked. I used to be a bad beer snob, but Celiac has cured me of that.

gluten-free in DC and Kareng, thanks. You might have guessed, I'm trying to see if I can drink a Moscow Mule. My buddies all love them.

I have tried to check on my on, but I can't find out whether or not ginger beer is gluten free. Does anyone know?

Thanks. I just discovered thrive and made an order last night. I have been at this for 15 years, but lately it has bothered me more than ever. For the first time, I am feeling deprived and sorry for myself. I'm trying to improve my attitude.

What's the deal with Gluten Free Mall? Every topic I clicked on said "no products available". This, combined with Amazon's new stuff (pay extra for A. Prime Pantry. Most of Amazon's gluten-free foods are not on prime or you have to buy a year's supply.) If I sound frustrated, it's because I am. The Whole Foods in my town carries very little gluten-free food and my only other choice is Kroger. Kroger is slowly but surely cutting back on gluten-free products. Any online sites I don't know about?

I eat Tate's frequently with never any problem. Be aware Tate's makes a gluten full version of their cookies. Maybe you picked up the wrong bag. They are side-by-side in my grocery store.

Thanks. I already have the KA flour since it is my regular flour. This sounds good and I will try it next time I make pizza. I have no idea why this is underlining itself. I am not good at this computer stuff.

Sounds good, but I'm pretty sure my family won't go for the cauliflower.

Tonight I made a pizza using Kroger Simple gluten free pizza crust. I was awful!!!! What do y'all use for pizza crust? I have used gluten-free tortillas, and they are pretty good. What do you use?

Read the labels. If there is no wheat, rye or barley it should be OK.I don't know what kind of beans you mean, but I frequently use Bush's red beans and their Grillin' Beans with no problem.

LilyR, thank goodness bourbon is gluten free. Feel free to have a mint julep, Manhattan, or a plain old bourbon and water (my favorite, with a squeeze of lemon). The mint used in drinks is usually spearmint or peppermint. You may have one of the hybrid mints like lemon balm, lime mint or even chocolate mint.
Before diagnosis I was a dedicated beer drinker. In fact, that's about all I drank. I have not found a gluten free beer that I think is really good, except a couple that are way too expensive.

Blakes also makes a chicken pot pie that is good. It comes in individual and family size. My near-by health food store has closed and I am searching for food now. They used to carry a gluten free frozen egg roll that was great. Anyone know the brand name? I have forgotten and don't know what to look for.

Unless you are going to drink the nail polish, why would that matter? Celiac only kicks in when gluten is in the digestive system. Contact with the skin (or nails) will not cause a Celiac reaction.

If your chest feels tight and you have trouble breathing, please see your doctor soon. That could well be something much more serious than allergy problems.

Unless a person is really super sensitive, this should not be a problem. Many foods that say "gluten free" on the label also produce gluten containing foods on the same equipment. If it is thoroughly cleaned between runs, there is not a problem. One reason many gluten free foods do not list that on the label is that the law requires frequent testing to show the gluten is below 20 parts per million. This gets to be very expensive for the company. I have used these products a lot with no reaction at all, and I am pretty sensitive.

I will try all that I can find. My choices here (Jackson, MS) are limited. I guess I will try ordering.

Thanks. I bought a loaf this afternoon. Will try it with dinner.

HAS Udi changed? I used to like it, but recently it is awful. What bread do y'all like for regular use... sandwiches, toast, etc.?

I hope you don't mind. I posted your question over at the Delphi Celiac forum. I will collect a few responses and bring then back over to this forum and post them for you. I'm too new at this but there are some women over there that regularly convert recipes, hopefully one of them will come through for you.
What is Delphi Celiac forum? Where can I find it? I am always on the look-out for new resources.

Yes, I think that's it. Thanks. Try them. They are really good. Plus, you don't have to fry them. They cook in the oven.
