Has anyone figured this out? I first experienced the pain a year ago. I ended up going to the emergency room twice b/c the pain was so acute & sudden that I thought it was my appendix. I was volunteering in Mexico at the time, and eventually I saw a doctor there who did an ultrasound and said that I had a kidney stone. When I got back to the states...
