Thanks for the confirmation! I decided to get it.

When using daily med to look up prescriptions, is there a way to filter ingredients such as gluten or wheat? I usually take only a couple of drugs but since I’m having surgery, I have 5 new ones to take for a short time post-op. Thanks!
For non prescription drugs, Walgreens has a line called Free&Pure that has gluten free written on the packaging if anyone is interested.

I called Colace to see what they would say. They cannot guarantee the products are gluten free. No gluten ingredients but mentioned ingredients from pigs. I did explain the pig part wasn’t the issue, just gluten. I had asked about Colace clear as I had read that one was gluten free.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll call Colace to be sure. I was just wondering if anyone had already gone through this:) I have not seen any gluten-free labeling on the package but I know that doesn’t mean it’s not gluten-free. The labeling is more of a comfort thing for me. Do you think I need to worry about cross contamination if they say no gluten ingredients? I’m so strict with being gluten-free but realize many manufacturers may have cya statements and the products are safe
Will look into Phillips as well. The surgeon recommended Colace and to add MiraLAX if needed so I actually need to get both as he says one of the worst things is to get constipated post surgery.

Can anyone recommend a gluten-free stool softener? I’m having surgery soon and the surgeon recommended taking a stool softener with pain meds after surgery. I have had celiac for about 17 years but no need for stool softener until now and when looking for one am getting mixed results as to what is gluten free. From what I’ve found, it looks like Colace clear gel may be gluten-free but still unsure. I have found that MiraLAX is gluten-free but is a laxative, not a stool softener. Thanks so much!

I've also heard it could be because of the thyroid. If you decide to get checked, ask them to check the Free T4 and Free T3 instead of just a TSH. For me, my TSH was slightly elevated, but my T3 was really low and the T4 low as well.
Some doctors will only check your TSH level which doesn't show the whole picture.

I think everyone is going to react differently. I will not eat anything that says made on shared equipment with wheat. I will eat if it says made in a facility that also processes wheat. It's a personal choice.
Does Dailymed.nlm.nih.gov site have filters for gluten?

Thank you both so much!
