  1. adopting a  feral family  is wonderful.  Make  sure  they are fixed  & given  shots. Rabies  shot  is  so important  when  cats  are killing & eating  rodents....We  lost  the last  feral cat  at  age 18 , we  started out  with 8....we  did  supplement  their  rodent  lifestyle  with  feed  but  not so much they wouldn't  hunt...also  they  need  some interaction..we  could only touch 2  of the 8  but  we  talked to them  daily  &  let  them  see our  presence  so  in a  way they  did know us....We  live trapped them  every two years for  shots...

We  have  an indoor " king"  that  goes  outdoors  & does some hunting  but does not eat  the kill...it's just a gift  to us!!!!!!

If  you decide  to get  feral's  keep them  in the closed  barn  for  awhile  so they get used  to the  area or  else  they will just  take  off & run  away\........I will say I still cried  when  everyone  passed  on.....I'm a member of trap/neuter release....

  2. Have  you  checked  your lipstick?  Medications? not  necessarily a gluten  issue  but  another  ingredient .... Ie:  sulphites, soy, sodium  lauryl  sulfite(sls) , binders ,facial  washes  or  cleaners, many strange additives  are  put  in things  we  ingest...

I would  try  a  basic  olive oil  or  coconut oil  on  the lips....something  very  simple  & not  complex....vitamin e oil...

I  would  also  take  probiotics  & digestive  enzymes  if  you don't  already to  help  your  digestion....

For me  it  sounds like a reaction  to something.....have  you done  a  food  journal?

hope  you  find  a  clue  & get  relief  very soon....

  3. While  healing  one  should  avoid  many things...you need  to  eat  very clean  & pure  for  about  at  least  6 months  or  a year.....your  body is  struggling  to heal , it needs  all the help it  can get  from you.... I  agree  with cyclinglady.....

many times  it isn't  the  wine   per  say but the  sulfates  added in  the  wine..... Frey Vineyards  has sulfate  free  wine.....I'm sure there  are others  but  that is a good  one...

  4. I agree all the bars mentioned in prior posts are very good.. But I have one that I think as many others is tops...... Its called "comfort bar" comes in three flavors the only drawback is you have to order via the mail unless you are in the western states...

Flavors are white chic cherry chip ( favorite) Italian choc orange, & choc almond.... 8 large bare for 21.20 lots of protein... Just amazing....
