  1. I have had celiac disease for over 20 years and have also been anemic for as long as I can remember. Is the anemia supposed to stop when you start a gluten free diet because then your digestive system heals or can anemia continue on even with a gluten free diet?
  2. So good to know, thank you! Started very minor tummy issues today which is day 3 of accidental glutening, but never as bad as way back when! Funny you should mention sun exposure. Last spring after spending each day in the sun I would break out in itchy rashes similar to dermatitis herpetiformis. Dermatologist thought Lupus for sure ... but my tests...
  3. Hello ~ I have had celiac disease for 20 years and on a gluten free diet for same. Recently I feel like my symptoms have changed when I accidentally get glutened. I will always get the celiac rash (dermatitis herpetiformis), but I don't seem to have any more digestive issues like I had before. I would get stomach pain, back pain, diarrhea, etc. Has this...
  4. Good morning! I have a question regarding dh rashes. I was diagnosed with celiac disease 14 years ago and have always had the rash when cross contaminated with gluten. However, just this spring and summer whenever my skin is exposed to the sunlight I break out in tiny itchy blisters and rashes. Does anyone know if sunlight is confirmed to aggravate dh...
  5. Every time I travel I always take my own breakfast, lunch and dinners with me. It makes for a lot of pre planning, but I make 3 different crockpot meals and portion them out into containers and freeze them. I place them in a cooler with a lot of ice until I get to my destination. I am very sensitive and don't want to risk getting cross contaminated while...
  6. Best advice is to stay on a gluten free diet and the rash will disappear. My DH flares when I accidentally eat something that is cross contaminated and when my skin is exposed to the sunlight. Iodine does not seem to bother me.
  7. I have had success with the name brand Genexa. They make clean ingredient medication and have an Antacid Maximum Strength chewable. I get heartburn fairly quickly and it is always a result of red sauces (marinara, salsa, etc.) so it's best to find out what is causing the issue and cut back on it.
  8. I have the same intolerances. Some ideas for you: Free2b Sun Cups, Peanut Butter Cookie Larabars,Three Wishes Cereal, Beanito Chips, Lundberg Cinnamon Toast Rice Cakes, That's It Fruit Bars, and Chomps Turkey Sticks. I do not know if these items are available in a Canada store, but can be ordered online. Check out www.vitacost.com
  9. I was exposed to gluten accidentally as I currently have a lot of stomach pain, back pain, joint pain and itchy rashes. The only thing I really ate the last two days was Jennie-O ground Turkey and 4 sisters rice. Has anyone had any cross contamination issues with either of these products? If not, perhaps it was just crumbs I was exposed to since my household...
  10. Aloha Protein bars say gluten free on their packaging. It is not certified gluten free. But let me tell you ... not gluten free! I got extremely sick for 3 days after eating one. Anyone else react?
  11. I don't feel well after eating eat either. From what I remember, one of their ingredients is derived from corn and I am celiac/corn intolerant.
  12. Hello! I recently discovered that Pacific now uses dextrose (corn sugar) in their broth. I am a celiac with a corn intolerance. I wanted to make others aware if they have a corn intolerance/allergy. The only thing I am uncertain about is if dextrose is added to their bone broth or all broths they produce. Customer service was not able to provide...
