2 nights ago, we went to Louie’s Wine Dive. I had fish and chips. Husband had barramundi on a rice something. All gluten-free and all yummy! This is not an exclusively gluten-free place, but they only fry gluten-free and are very careful. Lots of the food is naturally gluten-free so that helps

not a product, but I did watch a cooking show where they made corn dogs with cornbread batter and hot dogs in a waffle iron. I really want one now...……………..
canyon bakehouse makes good stuff. I can only get the plain bagels here locally, but the everything bagels I have had in florida and they are spot on
edited to add: we have the bfree pitas at our Kroger and they are yumm-o. i made one with prosciutto, fig jam, parm reg, (broil) then topped with arugula tossed in some lemon juice, s&p o my gosh I almost gave my husband a bite.

The brand comes in filtered prerolled as well as loose tobacco and without all the extra chemicals they go out if you set them down for a minute. I live in a very high tax state so I go with the roll your own.

Wow! ? This is so inspiring! Just five cigarettes a day now! I am going to pass this on to family members who are trying cut down or stop smoking tobacco. Save some money too!

Thought I should add that sharing could gluten you if the others were eating or drinking gluten.

ZigZag papers in the white package are gluten free. I smoke American Spirit tobacco (they don't use any additives it is just tobacco) and those are the papers I use. Without all the added chemicals I went from a pack and a half a day to 5 cigs a day with no effort.

Ok, but when I got celiac 10+ years ago envelopes were off limits. Haven’t looked into it since.
As for 400 chemicals in marijuana the link led me to the gov/nih drug abuse page. How long has the government scared people off of weed to feed into their dumb laws against it. Just like they said weed kills. Nope. Makes people violent and murderous, nope. I didn’t see anything about 400 chemicals in weed on there. But I was talking about ADDED chemicals. Not naturally occurring chemicals. Tobacco companies ADDED chemicals to tobacco to make cigarettes more addictive. I’ve only been to a dispensary once, and everything is tested. Not for gluten, but contaminants and other NATURALLY OCCURRING chemicals like cbd and thc.
Just wanted to help the guy sick off a joint. ?♀️

Actually envelope glue isn’t and hasn’t been made with flour for many many many years. It’s just too expensive and messy.

The stuff sold is shops has a chance of CC. they mix flavors in various blends. Chances of CC during processing, packing, and at the shop.
Pure MJ would be safe.....funny but none of the guys I know use zigzags...always cigar rolling paper or a pipe.
You might try making edibles with it. Few tips here, grind the pure leaf cuts in a mortar and pestle into a powder, take pure unrefined coconut oil and heat on low in a small sauce pan and mix the powder into it and let it sit in the warm oil 20-40 mins depending on heat and plant. then let cool putting back in the jar. Use this in baked goods in place of butter, it works best in vegan baked goods or no bake recipes for cookies. brownies, and bars. This way you can cook at a lower temp to avoid oxidizing the oils just cook a little longer if it requires it....being vegan no worry about it being a bit under done or the no bake versions.

I don’t know about the papers but I have yet to find any new drywall and joint Compound that actually has gluten. That may have been an ingredient many years ago.
A sore throat and chest infection doesn’t sound like a typical gluten reaction for a Celiac.

Also canyon bakery everything bagels. Their other bagels are not that great but the everything bagels have the exact consistency of regular bagels.

Mine is this broth in a tea bag. Now I haven’t tried it but it sounds like a great idea.

Friday = date night = a trip to the butcher ha ha ! we bring 2 coolers with ice into the butcher shop, the girl behind the counter takes my list and bags everything up in the portions I ask for. we go about once every other month and fill up the freezer. everything is organic and fresh - locally sourced. then, we go out to eat dinner at a good, safe place - got the chicken salad club on gluten-free bun with a salad. the place has a decent menu, although small, but they always are careful and I only got sick one time from there but it was kind of my bad - they toasted the roll...… and I ate it anyway even though I knew I should probably send it back. after that, though, smooth sailing.
Saturday was Johnsonville Italian sausage and peppers, onions and mushrooms. I made a tomato & mozzarella caprese salad (my cherry tomatoes are out of control...…) fresh basil and all that jazz.
husband put his new smoker grill together that we waited to buy till it was ridiculously on sale at lowe's, then he couldn't cook on it till he seasoned the thing lolz
so, sunday, it was a ribeye for him and lobster tails for me. roasted fingerling taters and deviled eggs (I made them with pickled beets that I canned a couple of years ago "here. eat this and see if you die" ) the eggs were fabulous and i'm about to make another batch because I sent the rest with him to work. yum....
yesterday, he had his favorite day - smoking ribs. I made him help me can cucumber pickles, peppers, and jalapenos but he spent most of the day fooling with his meat. found some b&m baked beans in the jar, so he smoked them, too. got some corn on the cob and made 'Mexican street corn' mix ranch dressing powder with mayo, brush on cooked corn, grill/smoke, then sprinkle with cojita cheese (Mexican parmesan sort of - never had it before and it's delish) we put them on skewers and everybody knows everything is yummy on a stick lolz
ennis - I thought I ate some weird stuff, lololz but i like your ideas

Boring night. Just a green salad, grilled rosemary chicken, sautéed spinach, and rice (for the kid). Nothing fancy. We are detoxing from our vacation. Too many gluten-free goodies and snacks!
I did buy that cauliflower pizza for my hubby. He likes to add more veggies and meat to it. He likes it. Not me. No garlic for this girl!

I understand! But so many people here in KC rave about the Costco pizza and the one you had and this restaurant that uses it, and they all love it. Something must be wrong with me! Lol ?
And the topping & stuffing chicken with all the pizza toppings! Yes! And add some bread crumbs in the mix!

It is one of two store bought crust I can eat since I require gluten-free, Dairy-Free, and Low carb. Mikey's Makes once also but it taste more like a flat bread. Waiting for RealGood Foods to make a chicken and vegan cheese crust
In the mean time I can use
Bagels or the Little Italy Paleo Bread from by bakery toasted a few min at 400F and melt vegan mozz and a bit of sauce on them.
Upside portabello mushrooms with sauce vegan mozz and it taste like a supreme bagel bite almost
Make a Almond Flour based crust but it tends to be softer then I would like
Blend chicken bread, eggs, and vegan mozz in a food processor form into a crust and bake (you can buy chicken and cheese crust from Real good Foods and some restaurants) Fun thing I have also done is cut open chicken breast, stuff them with vegan mozzarella, and sauce, bake them then top with more cheese sauce, and pepperoni and broil a bit Like chicken cordon bleu pizza style
I actually like making my own cauliflower crust....I blend it with vegan cheese and it is super good.
Sometimes I just bake a batch of my vegan cheesy bread and dip it in sauce or make a quiche with mozz and oooflavors Pizza flavor drops and spread a thin layer of sauce over the top.....
>,< I enjoy pizza in different forms I just do not wish to end up in the ER or kill myself lol

Chicken Shawarma on a big salad with a lemon TAhini dressing . So yummy and easy. We grilled the chicken but it was dark and gin couldn’t see, so he brought it in and I put a little oil in a pan and finished it .

Added a little more lemon-

This would be good on grilled veggies or instead of mayo on a sandwich

But it will list barley malt as an ingredient. ( I know you know that but maybe a newbie won’t.
The only cheese I have seen with gluten are the ones that are made with beer.
Not sure if Sara Lee makes gluten-free products? If they do- they will likely proudly proclaim it on The packaging and charge 40% more for it than their regular pastry.

Arlene....I am so happy that your family finally woke up and decided to have a better life. Once you push through the fear of the gluten-free diet, it just gets better. I wish my brother had listened to me. He just couldn't wrap his head around the fact he most likely had Celiac, along with his Type 1. He also had to follow a low protein diet, due to his failing kidneys so maybe it became too overwhelming for him. But it ended up costing him his life and I still miss him terribly. All those "what if's".
The retirement idea is still a weird thing for me. I have always worked so giving that up is strange. But I have no choice. I have 2 old ladies to help with and an old cat. ? My poor Sophie is 14 now and she has been diagnosed with hyper thyroid. But they all have to be taken care of and that is more important than a job I don't need anymore. Besides, for those who still work, jobs are not the same anymore. The workplace has been invaded by too much political correctness so it's time to go! The fun we used to have at work would get into trouble by today's standards. ?
MIL must be downsized! They don't realize how much stress is gone (for everyone) once they do so. My mother fought us tooth and nail but now? She likes it there and is happy. She doesn't have to worry about anything. Assisted living is NOT a nursing home. It took moving my mother in there before she realized that. Keep working on your MIL......she'll get there.

Hey Squirmy!
Looking forward to communicating with everyone again. I do see that nothing ever changes.......people STILL having trouble being taken seriously by the AMA. Well.....except for Olivia!
There are more people in my family being diagnosed, which came as no surprise to me. We even recently got back in touch with some of my mother’s cousins, who now live down south and guess what? One of the adult daughters was diagnosed and she is like me......classic Celiac. The poor thing has numerous issues due to the length of time figuring it all out. If there is one diagnosed Celiac in a family, there will be others.....guaranteed!

Hey Arlene! I'm still kicking but it's been an intense year. We moved Mom into Assisted Living last summer and she resisted it all the way. Made our lives hell....until she lived there for about 4 months and decided it wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be. They have Happy Hour! ? But she thoroughly enjoyed trying to make us feel guilty....which we did not. She will be 87 this year and she was trying to hide from us the fact she was having trouble taking complete care of herself. Her health suffered but she is stubborn and did not want to move out of her house. Guess who won that battle? ?
This year, we are going to move my husband's mother into Assisted, from Independent. She is 92. To say it has been busy is the understatement of the year. Trying to do all this while still working is not recommended. So, come the end of September, I will be officially retired. That way, I can still tend to the needs of the Mom's and actually have a life of my own. What a concept, huh? ?♀️
Hope all is well with you!
