  1. It could. At this point in time i'd insist on getting the rest of the panel ran (someone will post it no doubt) as well as an endoscopy and the genetic test. Your levels are around what mine were (37), however i had "D" on a daily basis with vomiting happening several times a week among other things.
  2. there are no tests for intolerences as far as i know outside of removing them completely from your diet than readding them later.
  3. i'm thinking mac and cheese with a massive bowl of broccoli for dinner.
  4. have you been eating anything bean-y? That is what they do to me.
  5. about 40 of that was before my dx. But still, i got on the scale when i went home and was like "oh wow".
  6. Not as far as i know She normally got a sealed can of treats and a toy. I've still got this head cold thing going on. Looking back on it, previous times when i've had this type of cold it would be a lot worse. Perhaps this is because i've been feeling soooo good since the diet change and all that jazz? Not to mention, i don't weigh nearly as much as...
  7. I scored positive on the IGA TTG and on the genetic along with positive reaction to the diet, the rest of the blood tests were negative as well as the biopsy (taken 4 weeks gluten free). As far as i'm concerned, i'm happy with it. It really depends on what you wish to do. The result will be the same either way.
  8. Not anymore do i. I cheated once on the bread (early on), it tasted nothing like i remembered. It was bland and... sandpapery....
  9. you mean fluff? Only time i used that stuff was when i'd make fudge. Elsewise, just gimmie a bag of marshmellows.
  10. my old cat wasn't an ornament destroyer, rather she would go under the tree, find her present, then drag it to the front. Don't ask me how she knew.
  11. And what exactly is the scientific backing or statistics for the shock? Some food for thought, anything spicy sets my GERD off like mad (reflux). Tomato paste generally is just pure tomato and some mild seasonings (salt, suger?). Ketchup is much akin to that. I'd call out tomatos on that. At any rate, the internet does not help in this case and often...
  12. Welcome to my life Chocolate is on my no-go list at the moment due to a weird reaction to ice cream with it (dry mouth/throat for 4+hours with no relief). I thought about trying it when i was at home last week, but was too sick, so sweet potatos took that place. As of right now i'm not eating: spinage (gave me massive "D", i think it was mainly...
  13. Actually, allergic reactions can be more than just hives/swelling/throat issues. Another sign is full on body burning. That is what i go through with tomatos, though when it happens its mainly isolated to my head/face/neck/sholders (which i later got a hive reaction to doing a skin test). I spoke with the head of the allergy department at the hospital i go...
  14. I was kept home if it was -30 out (school was still on of course, but it was too cold to be out in it and i'd have to walk a short distance to catch the bus). But that only happened a couple of times a winter. Still had to go take care of the horses though. I'd be on the water tank duty, boy that was difficult. One of the horses usually came and stood next...
  15. I remember the winters in Montana. If it wasn't winter season, it was road construction season (no joke, warm as heck june-augustish/september, then here comes the snow. Then in march/aprilish, it goes from snow to cold rain). Oh how i miss it (don't miss having to go out in -30 f temps to get wood ).
  16. I live with this on a daily basis... even with foods i know are safe for me. A couple of tidbits that i use: I always keep benadryl on hand and in a place where i can easily get to it (i have relatives who have major allergies to things so i know the drill on this one) and i always have some in my backpack and purse. Skin tests can be helpful. Another...
  17. 50s and 60s. This weekend may hit 70.... I can't tolerate the heat very well either. I love shoveling snow. Its not uncommon when i'm at home to see me shoveling without a jacket on I just get too warm when i'm out doing it.
  18. i'll take the snow if ya don't want it and you can have this above average temps....
  19. You just discribed me before i went gluten free. Mine started badly after i had a nasty case of the flu (missed a full week of college classes, no fun), an allergic reaction a week later, and finally my gallbladder starting to go on me. I think its the combo of these three things that Celiac decided to rear its little head. Mind you, before this i had IBS...
  20. i can't do beans because it bloats me soooo bad.
  21. me thinks a sweet potato might be in order for me....
  22. I use vanicream
  23. I use white corn tortillas or ricecakes sometimes.
  24. I'ma gonna see it. It'll be my first theater movie since before i was dx'd
  25. If you are in the US, an offical dx would give him accomodations at school due to it.
