  1. indeed. My IGA TTG came back positive but the rest of the panel was negative (along with a negative biopsy, but lets not go into that ). Genetic test also came back positive for both genes commonly seen (DQ2 and DQ8 I believe). You can insist on more testing if you wish.
  2. ugh... i somehow picked up the stomach bug that was going around
  3. Gah! I'm sorry i meant stocking I'm more tired than i thought.
  4. waaaait coma what when where I hope you are doing better At any rate, it can be a pain. I haven't had to stay in a hospital since i was a toddler (had flu really really bad). I'm glad to see this
  5. what about your cooking pans? Are they scratched? If so, potential cc issue.
  6. can't applesauce be used to replace eggs in some recipies?
  7. During this time of year, i tend to be more polite to the employees (not that i'm not the rest of the year just moreso). Like for example, today an employee was stalking potatos. One fell off and rolled toward me, so i picked it up and handed it to him.
  8. Luckily this store seemed to have a good supply, but i kept my distance. They were circling like vultures.
  9. bannanas seem to be an issue for you. Drop them for a while (6 months) then retry them. Eat to much of one thing and your body will protest.
  10. They mostly contain nuts right? nah Don't ask why, its the texture that gets to me. The same goes for chuncky peanutbutter, i can't stand it. And eggs for that matter
  11. luckily i've yet to face them lol. Yes, i trust the person making them Though i might end up doing it
  12. If he's going to act like a child, then make him cook his own dish. It wouldn't kill him.
  13. ummm.... Never go to king soopers the friday before thanksgiving when there are turkeys on sale. the people, they waz swarmin'.
  14. So are they or aren't they gluten free? I read the ingredients and didn't think so but i'd rather ask on here then risk it. My family likes to use them during thanksgiving. (i believe that is what they're named, i saw them at king soopers)
  15. I'm a stovetop girl. No offense to the bakers My sauce is rather easy and could be used in a baked. Butter, cheese, oliveoil, cornstarch, 8-10 slices of american cheese, milk....
  16. If i remember right issues such as this are do to low folic acid levels (i could be wrong). Quote from wikipedia: Supplementation with folic acid has also been shown to reduce the risk of Open Original Shared Link, Open Original Shared Link,Open Original Shared Link limb defects, and urinary tract anomalies. It wouldnt be much of a strech to say...
  17. Do you still have a gallbladder? Its located in the upper right quadrent of the abdomen. That could be the culprit.
  18. eeek i was never a fan of hostess stuff (or as far as i know lol). You can make your own. Though back in my early dx days i'd see the bakery area of a store and all its pretty icing'd cupcakes and that'd set me off.
  19. Cooking isn't that hard Get yourself a crockpot toss some meat and veggies in and vala a meal.
  20. Since you guys are soooo helpful, i'd thought i'd ask another question. I am just getting over a really bad jitter case. I had only eaten plain rice chex this morning (i'm going to the store today, i'm out of stuff). I know, bad bad. My own fault and all that jaz. I have a family history of diabities, so i know what to do when a low blood sugar incident...
  21. I think a good idea would be for you to find a local support group. We tend to go through withdrawls with gluten (i was an emotional mess then), but i don't doubt it with the others. One day at a time dear, it does get better. Can't never could do anything. YOU can do this.
  22. It gets hard again? Interesting. I'd think if you'd undercook it, it would be okay, or maybe just not cook it for as long. I can't handle the rice based ones. What about the corn ones? I've never used it for backing but i know it holds up when overcooked on stovetop. It has a very similar texture to the quinoa one.
  23. i've been at this for almost a year and a half. And guess what? I'm terrible at planning as well. My cooking skills (although they are better!) are kinda meh so it can be rather difficult to get around. I always keep things on hand that'll make a quick meal (cheese wraps with veggies is a good example of this).
  24. Luckily we're not going anywhere. So a turkey from the butchers (yay!), and some sides. My family knows what i'll eat and whatnot so its not that big of a deal. Quick question though are marshmellows gluten free?
